It says its silent ...and that can be a good point ... But from what im told ... sealed poly units like that can get VERY hot ( If you have it in your grow space it will push temps up a LOT ) Your going for 400w right ?.... I can recomend a vented ballest ...might hummmmm a bit...

lol :) So yeah ... if the reflector states it can handle HID's & HPS ( Most can ) your all good ... you plug the ballest into the refelctor power cord to use the higher wattage bulbs ... And as you allready know ...No ballest needed for the CLF's Good Luck and have fun :)

That is JUST a reflector and fitting ( and in my opinion a very expencive one ) and will NOT run a 400 OR A 600 Without a ballest unit connected to it ... It looks like a good one ... but i can asure you that a cheaper one will do JUST the same job...
