I have no idea who Ed is or what book you are talking about but thanks for at least making a comment that makes sense. Someone read this book and told us about it and we all followed like good sheep do without question
Hey I just found another fun fact. There are only 2 days a year that we have 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark. One March 22 and another Sept. 22. So where did 12/12 come from???
here are some pics of my grow. As yo can see they have grown above the light. I can not raise my light any more and anything above the light is not going to do real well. If you read my original post I want to slow them down a bit so they stay under the light. I didn't want to argue about...
I just told you that there is no place on earth where the temp is suitable that gets 18 hours of light. So the practice of 18/6 did not come from nature. ( notice I said that without the gutter mouth)
Are you aware that the only places on earth that get 18 hours of light a day are 60* north latitude and north of that. The other would be 60* south latitude and farther south In other words the polar ice caps. How well does weed grow there ?
This fight never ends. This is what i did I ran some with the level about 2" under the pots and some with the level right up to an1" in to my net pots. What I found is the full ones grew much faster had more roots and more yield Try it for your self.Good Luck
Have any of you ever stopped to ask Why we use a 12/12 light cycle for flower and a 18/6 for veg. I wanted to cut my electric usage and keep my plants from out growing my grow space so I cut the amount of light they get each day. I went to a 10/14 for flower 10 hours of light 14 dark and went...
Why drip? i have found that plain old DWC with an air stone and keep them toped off up to the net pot or real close works best for me. Nice and simple.
You've come to the right place. There is a ton of information on this forum. The first thing I would recommend you do is alot of reading and get an idea what your going to do.
3 oz. off my first DWC plant that's better than I ever got in soil. I am doing a staggered grow. I started each plant 2 weeks apart. I have 4 buckets in the flower room at a time all 2 weeks apart. So now I harvest one plant every 2 weeks and start a new one at the same time. All is well so far.
Here's a novel idea. Why don't you just try a grow and see where your temps are with what ever system you use. If they are under 75 and you don't have any problems then your golden. If they are too high then try some thing different. I do fine with just 5gal. buckets kept topped off every day...
