I'm no expert on this subject. I don't even check PH right now and haven't since I started DWC 5 months ago. any number of things can change your PH one is temp and the reason I don't check mine is that my meter just goes nuts. One min. it reads 5.8 test it again in 10 min and it tests at 7.6...
Ya growing your own is cheap but it ain't free. You can spend the money now or later but your going to want the bigger pump. That's just my opinion drawn from my own experiences.
I use GH nutes too. Good point about being without air. I still say get the big pump and get a repair kit to have on hand. I still need to get one myself .
The more air the better I think. I would go with a large commercial air pump. I use a 1400gal/hr pump with an 8 port manifold. I run 2 4" air stones per bucket. I have 4 buckets in flower at a time I do the same for my veg. My pumps run about $100.00 each. $25 per bucket not so bad aquarium air...
I had that same dark brown to black stuff all over my roots too. I rinsed it off and cleaned the bucket added new nutes and tea. Now my roots are pure white and plant is growing very fast. I love this tea
OK I will try to give you a run down of what I have been doing and this seems to work for me. I am not one to do the same things that everyone else does. I like to do it my way so keep that in mind as you read the rest of this.
Grow room: W 4' X L 5'X H 7' (flower room)
Veg room W 2' X L 4' X...
I know I'm going to start more controversy with this but I love it. LOL I may be wrong here but I have read that it's not the length of daylight that makes a plant flower it's the amount of uninterrupted darkness. I am sure your experiment will work
Hey thanks for the civilized answer and one that did not contain the word NATURE I "m with you on 24/7 for veg. It's too much. I have been using 14/10 for veg for awhile now and I do notice slower growth as far as foliage but much better roots. I also see lower dark time temps due to an extra...
You know I didn't mean to get every one so worked up over this. You have all missed the point here. 12/12 and 18/6 started for a reason WHAT!!!! is that reason???? So far none of you have been able to factually answer that question. and I have yet to find an answer online. It's just a...
