LED Lights! Too much research... Please Help!

This seems rude for no reason. I think LED lights are great, but a little over a year ago when I was looking at them the field was quite a bit different than it is just one year later. The Timber light you have looks pretty excellent, and I think I will look into them when I am ready to set up...

LED Lights! Too much research... Please Help!

Yes, I have the vertical mount option. The room temp in the room with my tent is between 75-78 during the summer, and 65-68 in the winter. In the summer it has never gotten above the low 80s. I just have an exhaust fan and filter running for smell, but it provides enough airflow to maintain...

LED Lights! Too much research... Please Help!

I was considering getting an LED light for almost a year, but after hours of research and comparison of PAR maps and prices, I got a SunSystem 315 LEC with a Phillips bulb instead, and I couldn't be happier with it. The price and performance of LED lights right now still just does not add up...

What is the point of an elevated runoff in coco?

Hi OP, this is basically exactly how my setup works. I have a low tide flood table sitting on top of two rubber made storage tubs. They are pretty shallow, but quite wide 7-8 in deep and about 30 in x 15 in. They are not that big, but hold about 7 gal all the way full. The back tub has the lid...

Fed seedling woth 4.0 phd water

WOW! This really heated up. I didn't mean to spark a fire. Sorry to OP for being such a dick, I was half way through the second bottle of wine for the night. Not an excuse I guess, but at least an explanation. I need to remember to temper myself in those situations. I don't want to reignite a...

Fed seedling woth 4.0 phd water

Yep, I am being a dick. I usually don’t even reply to posts like this, but I started drinking while I was cooking today and here we are.... Coco is a very productive medium, but also one of the most difficult to master, this makes it a poor choice for a first time grow. You should not feed...

Fed seedling woth 4.0 phd water

facepalm - is the only appropriate response to everything the OP said.... please do some amount research before you try to grow and post stupid things.... save your effort and our time. You should probably take your whole setup, move it to the street, pour gas on it, light it on fire and walk...

    First time in coco coir

I don't know what a rhizo bag is, but a 3 gal cloth pot should cost like $3-4 a piece. Do what you will, but I think you will find it more problematic (plant will get to big) and more expensive (you will have to use more nutrients) in the long run if you transplant them from 1 to 5 gal pots...

    First time in coco coir

We know the PH, but what is the PPM of the runoff? Also I really would consider using only 3 gal pots. You can grow a plant in coco as big as it needs to be in a tent in 3 gal pots. All the five gal will do is take up more space and take more nutrients to water properly. Also going from 1 to 5...

    First time in coco coir

I also have never needed calmag with my tap water with EC .4 and ppm around 190. I agree some larger pots might help. I think that 3 gallon pots are the sweet spot for a good size coco plant in a tent. I grow 4x in my 3 x 3 tent in 3 gal cloth pots in coco. You might actually be under feeding...

First grow ever, Yellowing leaves. Please help!

They basically just hold a little bit of food for the plant to eat while it is establishing its roots, perfectly normal for them to yellow and fall off as stated above. Great looking little plant!

    PLS HELP ME yellow leafs

I am not familiar with that nutrient line, but those NPK numbers are very high, and a gram per L is A LOT of anything. I would stop feeding them anything for at least a week, just water and I bet things improve. There are probably so many salts in the soil the plants nutrients uptake is not...

    Trimming top fan leaves

This is a point that brings a lot of debate, but if you have a healthy plant then you can absolutely remove those fan leaves. I slowly remove fan leaves throughout flowering to help with light penetration and I have healthy plants with good yields every crop. Not only does removing fan leaves...

I need honest opinions on miracle gro mediums

I am just curious about those pots in the pic of the OP first post. Did you make those pots by taping cardboard boxes together?

    High house humidity

I have argued with 2Hearts about humidity related issues before. Regardless of whatever your humidity is in your house 68% RH in a jar is too high for long term storage and the buds will mold if left sealed at that RH. 62% is generally considered the safe zone, but I always shoot for 60 just to...

Can anyone please help figure out wtf is going on here...

If you do transplant I would recommend switching to Canna coco, it’s by far the best coco substrate I have used. It also comes all pre-charged/buffered. You don’t need to use the nutrients to get the benefit of their substrate, but I am a fan of their stuff in general. They are expensive but...

Can anyone please help figure out wtf is going on here...

I also didn’t realize how small the pot is. You don’t need a huge pot for coco indoors, I think that 3 gal cloth pots or smart pots are the sweet spot for coco. Some people use 5 gal, but unless you have a huge space for a mondo plant I think that 3 gal is best for indoor coco.

Can anyone please help figure out wtf is going on here...

I didn’t read through all the replies, so maybe this came up, but I do think that 1500 ppm is a bit high. If you fertigate twice a day there shouldn’t be much salt build up. I would suggest reducing you to 1100-1200 ppm and fertigate until the runoff is the same. I would also switch to a...

When can I start feeding every day?

This is simple and perfect, the only thing I would add is allow for 10-20% runoff with every watering to make sure you are not getting nutrient buildup in the root zone.

    What’s your favorite nutrient line?

Another vote for Canna here, I have used the full line with both DWC and coco with very good results. I use only the Canna line (coco currently) with only a little extra CalMag + cleated iron to help balance uptake since I am using RO water because the tap water is just to hard at my grow site...
