2 people can do the exact same thing with different results. Not all tap water is the same. I think being sterile is the most important thing of all.

Thanks for the update. Ill try cutting in the dark some time. I usually cut whenever. I can do a side x side to test the results. Ill post it somewhere.....

I have always used the gel for rooting. The swelling I get is hit or miss. But when I do get it, they take longer to root. My last 2 batches of clones have had zero swelling. Rooted ultra fast. Just an observation...

Agree. They might not peel if they are small. My last test batch the cuttings were made 8 inches tall. With just 3 inches of it below the foam inserts. They were very woody. Still rooted very quickly...

Looks like the stalk swelled too. Did it swell before the roots appeared? I mentioned that in the other thread. I be live that to be something that is not good. Even tho some still swell, most dont.

Hey all! Ya, scraping does no good for me. Never has. The last time I cloned I pulled the nodes off and removed the strings complely, the roots exploded out the side. I was amazed! The pics are in another thread of cloning problems.

Your right there! I use them too. Hard to use on thin sheet. Also don't let it drip on you while using..... I've got a sweet scar tho!

You talking about aluminum brazing rods? They don't require flux. They do require a mapp gas torch however. Also check rivits... They can attach to any metal or plastic!..... Sorry, just had to be a little sarcastic

Notice how the roots exploded out the side where the little branch was pulled down? I've never made roots like this before. I took 2 batches of clones, 1 after the other, just to check if they root in the same amount of time and they did. Those clones are 12 days from cut today.

Yeah, they all look great! Its easy to diy a cloner. Anybody hear of the fogger style? I had some foggers hooked to mine, but did not use em this time. I did not notice a difference.
