It does have to do with the lifespan of the led's. It also has to do with diminishing returns of light intensity vs. current draw. there will also be the point at which you start to produce more heat than light. efficiency has an optimal threshold.

Just went and checked, I wanted to see their specs so they are being driven at 50% which is great for longevity. That's one hell of an expensive light though!

If they are being advertised as 750w led panels you should realize that 99% of all panels are being driven at no more than 60%. So that 750w panel is only producing just quick math in my head about 450 watts or 900w for both panels best case scenario.

For LEDs I run a minimum of 50w per sq ft. And max of about 60 true watts, beyond that you really start to pass the point of diminishing returns. Weather they are or are not rebranded mars hydro, light spectrums are just a matter of changing out some LEDs. All I'm saying is to a certain point...
