    Testing PH runoff in soil

Testing your runoff doesn't tell you what your soil pH is. So, just do the second one. Place soil sample about ¾ full in sample jar and add distilled water to cover soil Cap jar and shake the soil vigorously a few times. Let mixture stand 10 minutes to dissolve the salts in the soil. Calibrate...

    Testing PH runoff in soil

Testing the runoff isn't going to tell you that much about the soil. It will tell you more about what you're draining to waste then the soil. So, basically you have two options. 1. Send it to a lab to get it tested. Most will cost about $40 or so. QAL.us costs $32.50, so with shipping, $40...

    Heat Problems in Grow Tent

That doesn't sound like a huge problem. 71F to 83F isn't that bad when you consider the fact that you don't have any A/C at all. You aren't going to significantly improve that without controlling when the fans turn on and off or without adding A/C. 83F as a peak temperature is just fine, really.

    :-)

You're right. I didn't even answer any of your questions. Oops. Everything here should help you better understand what is going on, even if it doesn't directly answer your questions. I'll be honest, I'm not sure how to answer this question, mostly because I'm not sure what you're really...

3-1-2 or 2-1-2 is the most common ratio for NPK that I work with. To be in the ballpark with Ca and Mg, your NPKCaMg should be somewhere around 2-1-2-1.5-.75 or 3-1-3-2-1. As long as you are within 25% of those numbers, you'll do just fine during veg. I'd be happy to go deeper into this if...

    Jacks (JR Peters) nutrients

Calcium Sulfate is mostly insoluble in water. Calcium Nitrate is very soluble in water. Okay. Your plant needs nitrates as well as sulfates to be healthy. Calcium Nitrate is the most common calcium fertilizer, by a long shot. It accounts for probably 90% of all calcium fertilizers. It is...

Can i use my de-humidifier water for my plants?

There's a fair amount of misinformation in this thread. Condensate water can be used on your plants. But you need to treat it with H2O2, hypochlorus acid, or sodium hypochlorite. Condensate water sits around and it breeds bacteria, particularly Legionella. Ask any HVAC professional about why...

    Water: The Most Essential Compound

It will reduce the chlorine concentration, that's it. If you use hard water, just use a fertilizer that is lower in calcium and magnesium.

Using h202 - which of the general hydro nutes should I not add together with the h202?

So, H2O2, hydrogen peroxide, is technically "compatible" with all fertilizers. The key is concentration. So, your fertilizer is in separate containers because the high concentrations would cause precipitates to form in solution. The same goes for your hydrogren peroxide. It's in it's own...

Humic acid powder difference with liquid one?

There is no difference. Buy the powder. It's cheaper.

Can a worm casting ratio of 1-0-0 give enough nutrition to auto cannibis plant

The only answer I can give you is "maybe". So, a fertilizer that is a 1-0-0 is at a low concentration so anything below 0.5% on the macronutrients doesn't have to be labeled. It's more complicated on the micronutrients, but regardless, there isn't enough information. So, the most I can say is...

Why does it seem there is such a difference in nutrient strenghts between the growing community?

Part of high EC/high TDS is high alkalinity. High bicarbonates. That can account for a significant amount of the TDS of a solution. The highest I've seen is about 400ppm HCO3. Although, that was in a blend that was >2500ppm, done DTW. Absolutely ridiculous and wasteful from a fertilizer standpoint.

How much water do you use per 1000W of lighting?

Seriously, is it that hard to answer a simple question? I'm not asking how much water for this or that media or what the fuck ever. I asked a simple, easy to answer question.

How much water do you use per 1000W of lighting?

And if you gather data from everyone, what you will find is an average. That average will be a good starting point for anyone doing this for the first time or switching to this or that.

So... 2 gallons per 1000W per day.

How much water do you use per 1000W of lighting?

Not really. Pot size carries with it a reasonable estimate of the amount of lighting power above it. The point of this is nothing more than "How much water do you use." I'm not trying to learn how to grow. I already know how to do that. I am only curious about water consumption. Yeah.... it...

How much water do you use per 1000W of lighting?

So, I'd like to know how much water you all use. I have each option set up per 1000W of lighting power per day. So, if you have 1000W HPS, and you water 2 gallons per day, then you select 2 gallons per day. If you have 600W MH and you water 3 gallons every other day, then you water 1.5...

    Purple stems, Anthrocyanins

So, yeah, the now excess sugars will start to turn the stems purple. Have you heard of people adding grape juice near the end of flower and saying the purple color turns it purple? It's actually the sugar in the juice that causes it to turn purple on top of the fact that at the end of flower...
