Ive never done anything like this. Is it a common practice? What is the purpose? Ive always had great success with simply storing the pollen for a few weeks, and pollinating around week 4 of flower. I dont store pollen for more than a month.

Quite the conundrum. Being mortal is certainly comical in this regard. Work hard your whole life to build something incredible, only to leave it behind, knowing it will eventually turn into dust. :blsmoke:

Yesterday I pollinated many branches with a small paintbrush. I do this with every outdoor grow. I try and select the calyxes that are growing on the main stems. From my experience, they tend to produce the biggest seeds.

Ive tried this baking soda method and it does work. Alternating between baking soda water and milk spray definitely controlled the pm. However, the pm did not go away until I defoliated the big bush and created better airflow. Good luck

Can we see some pics of your other healthy happy plants? Changing your growing medium can be a hassle, Its understandable why you would prefer to scrap the plant.

Maybe try growing that strain in potting soil?

Best thing to do is wait and find out. I once grew a durban poison from Sensi Seeds that left me feeling like a noob. The plant was slow growing, freaking tiny compared to everything else I was growing, and the branches were thin weak linguine noodles. That pathetic looking plant ended up...

I usually cut off a branch of the male, bring it indoors, place in water, and set it by a window with a piece of paper underneath it. I collect pollen from the paper and by tapping the male flowers that have opened up. You can collect fresh pollen every time you see some on the white papper...

Male #1: Definitely purple pheno.

Having more information on the matter, I would say its most likely a genetic mutation. I recall growing 1 plant that did the exact same thing and it never produced any dense flower clusters. It remained in this weird half veg state. I grew it outdoors until late October before I finally cut it down.
