    Grow room upgrade (HELP)

Of all the elements in the equation, the most reliable indicator of bud output is power input to your lights. If you have efficient lights, you could try aiming at 1 gram per Watt. If you can get close to that when cooling with fan extraction only, that would be a good time to seal the room...

    Input on Co2/HVAC/Dehu

There you go. I just converted 36,000 BTUs/hour to Watts and it came out at 10,550W I'd be pretty sure you're not using a 10KW air conditioner, since that's about as big as a split system comes and would be drawing almost 3Kw at the wall - nearly half as much as your lights.

    Co2 and positive pressure

Yep, dual hose portables can't be found in Australia either. What a pain that is for renters.

    Input on Co2/HVAC/Dehu

Thia is an interesting subject but I'm totally phased by your imperial measurements. Cubic feet and BTUs etc. If you're running 5.8Kw of lights and a CO2 generator (apparently rated by BTUs), how do you calculate how many BTUs (or tons) of cooling you need? Also, when you use BTUs, to describe...

    Help !!

From your photo, it doesn't look like you need more of anything - a couple of big drinks of fresh water would be a start. But - it's very possible to have too much of one thing and not enough of something else. Those dark blotches look like too much of something (I've no idea what) but "Some...

What do you guys think the dry weight of this might be?

If you are drying inside a zipper-up tent, don't forget that the moisture needs to get out somehow, which usually means airflow into and out of the tent.

    Under feeding or over feeding

This is more common that you may realise and also, a great learning experience. Around 3 or 4 weeks, yellowing is common in fast-growing plants and may be a lack of nitrogen, magnesium or both. I've had success with a cal-mag supplement that also contains nitrogen and I use it for about the...

only blood and bone meal in coco from seed to harvest ??

I'm certainly no expert and I grow in my own soil blend, but everyone that I've read about who grows in coco seems to basically consider the coco as an inert hydroponic medium and they add aerated hydroponic nutrient solution at least once per day. From my own experience, with a pretty decent...

    The smell of a skunk?

A lot more. I grew in the house once, and people walking down the driveway knew what I was up to when the got to the mailbox. Couldn't have straight friends round for the whole grow. Now, I run an 8" filter, with an adapter and a 6" fan, 24/7. It just sits in the room and recirculates the...

    The far red thread

HI @Airwalker16 are these 3W monos? I've seen some for sale at very a very attractive price, and if a 4x4 only needs <20W they will be cheap to run too, no matter what their efficiency.

    The far red thread

Thanks for that - it looks like a straight answer to my question. Is that really all there is though, 8% more daylight, after 5 years and 86 pages?

    The far red thread

So, after 86 pages of the famous Far Red Thread, is there a consensus on what a grower with up-to-date, high-efficiency white LEDs at 3,000 or 3,500 Kelvin, good climate control and well-adjusted feeding program should add to either: Speed-up his rate of flowering, Increase yield or Improve...

need some advice, please be gentle with me....

16 is a great number for a 4x4 or a 5x5. How would you divide the 16 COBs among 3 drivers?
  17. Mullumbimby

can i run 16 cobs with one driver?

Or maybe if you can jiggle with the series/parallel thing (which I havent tried) you could get the voltage in range for a single HLG-480H-24A , which is the closest Meanwell unit available to 400Watts. It needs 240 (LED DC) Volts to put out the full 480W. 240V / 36V = 6.66 Sadly 16 cant be...

can i run 16 cobs with one driver?

You could run 2x ELG-240-C700A 8x36 =288 and this driver can handle up to 343V, so they are not a perfect fit, but you would be erring on the right side (ie, you could turn them up if you wanted) 288V @700mA = 201.6W so in fact, to stick to your 400W target, you'd actually have to turn them...

    Dehumidifier help

Hi @VILEPLUME. I have seen dehueys like yours for sale on ebay - can you answer a couple of questions for me please? Approximately how much did it cost? What is it rated to pull in fluid per day? Do you think it's doing a decent job in your room, now that it's elevated and you're catching the...
