Throw them in a cup of water for 24 hours before you paper towel them. A good soak seems to help. Also, cheap napkins work better than paper towels for step #2. Paper towels are fibrous and the roots very quickly grab hold of the fibers and can easily be damaged if you yank them off.

As for seeing the roots, they will grow right thru the "insulation" squares, you will know when they root

Next up, the scrog and the flip... My decision to try a bit of everything was helped by the limited space of my tent. So I built a screen with some PVC and paracord. Started tucking for a week. Flipped to a 12/12 light cycle and continued to tuck for most of the stretch.

In my reading, I read about Mainline and figured I would give it a shot. I found it took a long time and once I got to the scrog stage (coming up) it wasnt really necessary, tho I have started a new mainline on the clones waiting their turn.

That was grow lights off, camera flash on. LED normally however. I have 2 LED panels that pull 245 at the wall. I run them 1 bloom light and the other both bloom and veg light both, switching the one with extra veg each day.

I have read that once the stem is actually "snapable" that it is too dry. I am still 9ish weeks out from my first harvest, I have a lot of reading left to do, but since it is on topic, is stem snap too dry?
