clones

dos any one have pictures or videow showing how they clone?I need to know and SEE what you stick your clones it so you can see the roots.i bought little 2 inch squars of it looks like installation and can not see to roots.any help will help me thank you.

I am new to cloning myself, but the most important thing seems to be humidity. They need LOTS. I had one of these laying around

And found it to work great as a humidity dome. Keeping the clones in there and spritzing them and the lid with water once or twice a day until they set roots seemed to make more of a difference that what I choose to root in.

As for how I do the actual rooting, I dip the cutting in a rooting gel (doesnt matter which, they all have the same active ingredient, but I use cloneX) ... Then straight into some rock wool (your insulation cubes) and into the dome. I dont care for rockwool, I have better luck with jiffy pucks, but it doesnt really matter. Patience is the other big thing. Takes longer than ya expect.

My first runs of clones, I tried multiple cloning techniques and settled on what works for me. You will do the same

As for seeing the roots, they will grow right thru the "insulation" squares, you will know when they root

Like he said^ humidity helps. Cut your clones at a 45 degree angle then I put them in a jar of water with the cut part of the stem soaking. After about 15 minutes or so dip them in rooting gel and plug them in your medium ( root riots for me seem to be the most successful I have had decent luck in rockwool.). Make sure that you strip most of the lower growth off and I cut the leaves in half horizontally helps slow down transpiration and prevent wilting. Soaking your rockwool in ph adjusted water prior helps big time root riots I just plug and play. Keep a dome over of some kind to retain humidity until roots grow and the clone can drink efficiently. Once I have roots popping out (7-10 days) I plug them in my soil and plain water for a little bit. Once they are established they can be handled normally. Also I have my lights in the cloning tent turned down and quite a bit away from the plants until they root. 90percent plus successful. Spritzing the leaves with a mister once and a while doesn’t hurt either.

Also the further towards the base of the mother you take your clones from the higher your success rate. As you move up towards the top of the plant your success rate will drop. Good luck, pretty soon you’ll be swimming in clones.
