Id bring the RH down in the whole house.. High RH is not good for your home in general.

It shouldn't raise it too much.. Most newer dehumidifiers are Energy Star efficient and draw as little power as needed.. I think the 50 pint may be around the 500w range, but that wont be continuous draw.

If that tent is in a sealed room, the 30 pint should be plenty, but a 50 pint would probably be the better option.. I got the 30 pint and it works great, but I do wish I would have spared for the 50 pint.

A tip for you, get one that has continuous drain, with a hose attachment option.. It totally sucks to have to empty these tanks 3-4 times a day

With a 30 pint dehumidifier I can control the RH in my 10x13 room with no problems, I can bring it down in the 30's with this unit in that room.

You don't need to hang dehumidifiers in your tent.. Just put a decent dehumidifier in the room where the grow tent is, the intake air will be blowing in dehumidified air, which will lower the RH in the tent.

If it was purchased new and it came like this, it's not fine.. Just out of principle alone I would take it back.. Im a dick tho and not afraid to tell someone they produced a shitty product.

Regardless of how big that light leak is, if you bought this brand new and it came with any leaks, I'd be on the phone with them getting a new one.. I hate when companies send shotty products and then don't stand behind their shotty products.. TBH tho, I haven't found a good tent yet, I quit...

If we learned anything today, let's at least learn that the moon does not produce light.. It is not the same as turning on your overhead lamp in your room, or heavy ass light leaks into your grow area..

Not denying that led's seem to be energy efficient, but their initial upfront costs are hard to explain to my wife.. I am all for LED's, but I'm having a hard time trying to talk my wife into the fact that a 1,200 dollar light is more efficient then the 200 dollar light I bought 16 years ago...

As far as light leaks in that tent, I myself would not feel comfortable with that tent "I have insane ocd tho". I had the same problem with a secret Jardin 4x4 tent several years ago, they sent me 2 tents and both of them were shotty as hell.

I keep hearing you all use the moon as light reference. Did you all forget that the moon isn't actually light? Its reflection of light, we always use to look at the moon as a "green light"..

The are not super active during the cold, but it does not fully kill them.. usually this time of year, going into November is when all these bastards try to make their way inside, "that's where they die" lol

But again the OP's "old question from years ago" asked how cold does it have to be to kill the plant.. I can tell you first hand -10c will not kill a cannabis plant "they are not happy with that temp tho" lol.. -40c however turns their stems brittle as fek.

Now of course there are factors that may come in to play.. PM, rots, ect.. I never said you are not risking rots if you are pushing the limits, but you can safely push them past 1-2 hard frost days.. I know first hand from doing it.
