Dropping RH in a 2x4 tent

Last thing you want to do is try to explain why your apartment sounds like a departing station. Luckily I live in the sticks, own my home and its legal here, so stealth is not an issue.. I blast that smell out proudly :)

Dropping RH in a 2x4 tent

Id say the more air the better for sure.. It all depends on who you talk to, you will get several different opinions for sure.. Some I have seen run 8 inch inline in 4x4 tents and say it's not enough, others run a 4in in that same space and say it's enough.. Myself I have an 8in inline...

Dropping RH in a 2x4 tent

Good rule for a grower to live by.. Never give away your fans or lights unless you have replacements.. Id give out my ole lady before I gave out my inline!

You could also turn your apartment into a hospital type smell by going with those ona gel "tho that shit is sooo strong".

They also make things that go with inline fans to help reduce the noise, you dont want your apartment sounding like an airport.

If you don't have a carbon scrubber, maybe invest in an inline/carbon scrubber combo.. Id go min of 6 inch with a controllable fan.

Do you have a carbon filter?

Dropping RH in a 2x4 tent

RH was also the reason I opted to try and seal the room off more, I wanted to be able to control that more..

Dropping RH in a 2x4 tent

The cheaper option of the 2 would be the inline fan to blow out, I wouldn't expect this to lower your RH by a lot but I did see some improvements from just the exhaust in my room setup.. It's ironic that your problem is inline with what I was dealing with when I started redoing my flower room.

Dropping RH in a 2x4 tent

Unless you are running a complete "sealed controlled" room "which you are not from the sounds of it" you will need to do what you can to exhaust that air.. Even in sealed rooms they have ac units and air systems that help keep the air fresh.

One good way to cause RH to climb is to leave stagnant air unmoved.. You need to move that air out and around a lot more.. Air needs to be exchanged for sure, there is no way around that.

exhaust the air the plants have already used to another room and replace that air with fresh new air for them :)

Dropping RH in a 2x4 tent

I would not recommend intaking the same air that you have already exhausted.

Dropping RH in a 2x4 tent

You are intaking the same air as you are exhausting? Yeah this needs to be changed asap if that's the case.

Dropping RH in a 2x4 tent

Humidity doesn't lower in heat, in fact it kind of has the opposite affect.. Cool air can not hold moisture as well as heated air. Hot places tend to be more humid than cool places because heat causes water to evaporate faster.

Depends on your budget, main thing is it stays in your budget.. Most new dehumidifiers offer Energy Star these days.. Homelabs 50 pint would be your best options but again that depends on your budget.

Dropping RH in a 2x4 tent

If you cant do the whole house, lower as much as you possibly can.. High humidity will cause your house to fall apart a lot quicker then a dryer home. I know this first hand with having to deal with a complete remodel due to a flooded basement.
