once again - trouble for seedlings in coco - strange shit

Growing in coco-perlite 50-50, 400w HPS (about 2' away currently), 26.5 celius, got fresh air blowing right on them. I have two batches going on now. For the first batch I took coco straight out of the bag, and only added tap water, about 0.7 EC, pH 7.8. Dutchmen's Royal Orange, 10 of them -...

2 seedlings 1 cup - what is the optimal time to separate?

if they get tangled, they might be ripped when trying to separate. unless it's done with water, but even then it could be hard if they have really rooted well. I guess the guys are right - I should move one of them pronto. thanks!

2 seedlings 1 cup - what is the optimal time to separate?

so yeah by mistake i put to of them together to germinate. they are dear to me. should I remove them now when they are 1.5 days old (but have fully germed), or wait for when they are older? on one hand it's harder to separate the roots when they have tangled up, in a while, but on the other...

What Brand or Type of Coco Coir Do I want?

so yeah this will be much better than rockwool. rockwool kinda sucks from what i've gathered. and yeah you can soak it, or wash it, either way it gets flushed, charged and phed pretty easily. Two things troubling me about coco is germination - I like to germ where I grow, and coco is just a bit...

What is wrong with my plants? With Pics

    Quick newbie question

the fact that the shell stayed on the seedling and not shed in the soil is what delays growth a bit. This is usually because the seed was not planted deep enough, or because of a problem with the soil. what's your medium?

What is wrong with my plants? With Pics

wouldn't listen to this guy ^^ of course flushing washes away the nutrients when they are unbalanced or over-abundant, that's why you start feeding right after that. Flushing IS the answer to almost every root-derived problem there is. In this case it may not be necessary, since the damage...

What Brand or Type of Coco Coir Do I want?

congratulations! you made the right choice :) any brand of coco coir is good, but always wash it well before use, and charge it with a bit of nutrients too. read a bit about coco peat, they say it's good too.

What is wrong with my plants? With Pics

no improvement? flush. then try using a different nutrient maybe. 75 is the upper limit - you wanna get that res a bit lower. and also, add some h2o2.

    Newbie in need of help

relax, flush it and retain a normal feeding regime with half strength nutes. give it some aerated compost tea. will do wonder for organics. if you have some algae juice that would also be good. foliar feed. flouros are no good for flowering, unless you really know what your doing.

    3 white widow plants?

in flouroscents flowering is very slow. be patient, and start feeding again untill more hairs are orange and you are sick of waiting. or, just chop it. you will never see amber trichs on it.

Any hempy bucket pros out there?? Need some advice with ph!! Greatly appreciated!!

that is pretty strange. my guess is the vermiculite, since i've never run into such a problem with GHE nutes. hydro nutes, right? if you leave your res over night just like that, what will happen to ph?

What is wrong with my plants? With Pics

nope, for this size of plants 350 is more than enough. once you've cooled your res, you should also flush (and then feed again), just to be on the safe side.

What is wrong with my plants? With Pics

nope, not healthy. is your res cooled? if not, and it is also in 82, then your probably have bad root oxygenation, which gives overwatering symptoms, and may lead to bud rot. how do the roots look?

I need a doctor! sick and not growing help!

To me this looks like bad soil. If possible, throw it away and start a new plant in better soil, or better yet a hydroponic medium like coco. As for seeds given food at 3", this may be right for hydro (though your ppm's sound way too much, but I guess you got a strain that can take it), but I...
