That looks like a good way to do it........if you want to spend a fourtune and risk comin up with nothing yes im trying to scare you away from it. DWCs safer and dirts even safer than that. Id go dwc if you cant find good dirt. Go plant a vegtable right now in a rapid rooter cube of a rock wool. I grew a whole bunch of em in dwc. So easy, just remember to get synthetic everything because orgaincs dont work in hydro but ya probly know that already

i'll look into the dwc, i found that looking at vertical grows. my problem with that now is my box is too small for a system like that. i have seen a video on youtube on homemade carbon filters, but he had a fridge grow going in the end of the video. just so happens i do have a old fridge setting around. you'll have to sign to see it i guess, gmail works easy.

Nutrient film technique is kinda finikey and if the roots clog up anything theres no water and they die. Plus its just like dwc cept more expensive and ment for like 30+ plants. Rdwc or just dwc is better for a couple imo.

that there is wishful thinking, right now anything i can work with is best, so i'm still playing in the dirt. the freezer/fridge thought is a better one for me, and they make for a great light proof box. i have been asking all the repair places to let me know when they get a bad one, just haven't heard anything yet.

Post an ad on C/L in the wanted section for a dead one, and also peep the free section.
Check yer local Frys and HH Gregg, a lot of times they pick up old ones when they deliver.

I'm confident you will.
These 5 I got going now, were not fem, and I did them all thinking I'd only get maybe 2 female, but then I started thinking 'What if......', so that's why only 2 week veg on the Diesel, and 12/12 on the others.
5 out of 5 for non-fem beans.......
I NEVER have good luck like that!

bro, i did that and it list 6 or 7 places. i called each one and they say they don't have it, i would still have to drive 30 to 50 miles but i don't want to make a burnt run. i believe mail order is going to be best.

got a big bag of FFOF on Ebay earlier this past summer for under $30 shipped. Just fyi
and you can get rationed out quantities of different nutes and other organic materials like bone meal, blood meal, etc for a lot less that way too.

i have thought about the soil thing, and the ol lady wants that too for her house plants. deep down inside i would really like to go hydro in the new room. that is if it would ever quit raining long enough for me to get my trusses down from over on the farm.

I had a hard time finding good soil also. I started off with miracle grow organic and switched when I transplanted to a bigger container due to the soil compacting wayyyy too much. Now I'm using scotts top soil with perlite and lime. I know its not the best stuff but you can buy it at homedepot and ive had better luck with it than I did with the miracle grow.
