Thank y'all got them tips...

I went ahead got some bamboo stakes...

Already had a roll of the twist tie stuff, staked, tied em all up, whoo, shit is looking good...

Fuck!!! Worked 10 hours today at the restaurant...came home and worked the garden for an hour and a half...

Too fucking beat up to post pics...tomorrow, I'll post the staked buds..

Well, shit is looking pretty good..



Everything just flopped downwards after day 56.. .so I only had a couple of days of true” flopping” buds.

I used a combo of using some stakes to tie the mains directly to, and using longer lengths to create a ” support line” of sorts... or else, I would have needed many more stakes...lol

Unfortunately, my super cool camera (my phone) was acting up this morn, sooooo I didn't have a chance to snap the best pics, but I got some..

You got some floppers! An that's a good thing! If it doesn't flop then it's not close to harvest.
They will become heavy and saturated in oil so much so that it smears your arm hair and glues you to anything else you touch, again a good thing! ;)
Also SirDabs I saw some super excellent looking crumble/moonrock/ graham cracker wax you made, great job!
I am in the process of building a vac purge with a single stage 2.5 cfm HF vac pump, just picked up all my brass fittings and have a nice old 1/4in stainless pressure cooker bottom for my purge chamber. Looking to get a nice thick piece of lexan or plexi roughly 14x14 as well as the refrigeration hoses to go from pump to flare nut, and from flare nut to pressure gauge.
Sorry to get off topic but now that we're in extended circles I would love to be able to produce and share meds that look and smoke like your beautiful crumble!
If this info is avail on another thread you know of feel free to drop a link an nothing more.
Your garden is looking nice and fat! So glad you're letting them get the extra days swell on!

Sirdabs, been in trimming land and thought I would take a break to see what was happening. Looking good, your close I bet you can hardly wait. Then the fun part, trimming :wall:. It is a necessary thing, but man is it monotonous! Glad everything is plugging right along and you have done well. Damn talk about a fast learner, nice first go around!

Haha..bro...y'all long time growers amaze me with your familiarity and knowledge of the cannabis plant..

I swear; I know I post a lot of pics, but damn...y'all seem like you are in the tent with me...haha

I'm speaking of the plants being sooooo resinous, last night while staking my flopping, HEAVY flowers, man I had to get in there and rub against many of my buds, almost immediately, my arms were black and sticky as fuck, my forefingers and thumbs looked like I'd been making charas...lol

Anywho...

There is a thread in the Concentrate and Extract section called...
” BHO tutorial With Vacuum” or something similar, and.they pretty much utilize the same tech as myself...

Here are my personal preferences when making errls. These may differ from other tutorials, they are teks in which I've evolved in the midst of hands on learning..

Lets start with the plant material..
*fresh as possible, but dry dry dry as possible*
*never ever” powder” or grind finely*
If you have flowers in the run, break then up into uniform pieces by hand, be gentle, about the size of a marble.*
*Pack your tube TIGHT
*drop some in your tube and pack down with wooden dowel firmly and as uniform as possible.
*I personally drop half a handful@a time then ram down the material.
*I pack so tight, it almost seems too tight (its okay)(I've got about 200 runs or so under my belt).

Here is where my tek differs..
I blast into an ambient temperature pyrex (no heat)
Use zero heat to evap the initial solvent.
Blast until clear, and stop..usually 1 can per oz.
I apply no heat until about 30 minutes after blasting.
(this will preserve a gang-load of terps)(remember we are literally losing terps as soon as the plant is clipped)

I do NOT use a water bath, water always brings moisture to the oleoresin, this is not a desirable variable = moisture sucks when making oil.
I use a deep dish griddle, that will accommodate the size of the chamber.

Instead of water, I use sand and rice.

Empty sand into deep dish griddle, place chamber into griddle and pack the sand up the sides of your vessel..

Never exceed surface temps of 135°[oil itself]
I aim for 115°-120°

That's about all the tips that I got, that aren't in every tutorial on the web.

Oh... And HF carries a new vac... It's 199$ with 20% off

After reading many many pages on a few info ridden threads I have come to the conclusion I am not going to build a vac chamber, in fact I am going to return my new harbor freight 2.5 cfm vac pump, well maybe I'll build it just for fun.

Basically I already have a lung condition and even well purged wax/oil/shatter has been harsh for me.

This is where WINTERIZING comes into play!!!

I can blow tubes the way I know best, quick purge my tane in a warm h2o bath then winterize with everclear!!!

Also I read of people using d-limonene instead of everclear, IS THIS THE SECRET FOR SO MUCH OF THE CITRUS FLAVORED WAX???!!!!

I do know people are flavoring their waxes and it makes sense to do so in the winterizing process...

Thoughts?

Also my current purge, going to winterize the batch tonight!
Scraped and frozen on parchment paper, then reheated to further purge...

Heat mat currently... Rear left is SFV OG oil under mity vac muffiining out purge wise... Rear right is older bubblegum oil needed heat purging... Front right is roughly 40g bubblegum wax being heat purged and going to WINTERIZE! Front left is decarbed oil from my bong's oil stem that I had to clear out before I could pull through it, decided wth and seeing if it heat purges into anything other than already decarbed oil ;)

just blast it and put the oil into the everclear skip the water that is going to be a pain in that ass
the everclear will purge out the butane, then evaporate the everclear and your good

you better be on a coast!! if you aint, thats probably whhy your lungs hurt :p

jk, winterizing really really makes a difference, when done properly.. just make sure you dissolve in alcohol FIRST!, may need to use slight heat to dissolve, but it works.. then freeeeze

oh shit.. its sir dbBNS THREAD... yo! its been long enough, im ready to see some blondeee oil, cut um ddooownnnn :]
