SDA my first cycle in a tent I had a space heater inside the tent and it worked well for me then. I must say when I first setup the heater in the tent I was stressing about fire, hermies etc but it all panned out. Really the biggest thing for me then was not burning the plants with the heater so I had it angled away from where it would blow heat directly onto the tender leaves etc. I also setup the heater on a wire shelf above the tree line if you know what I mean. Hope this help you Man.

hey sirdabs looking very good!
just wanted to drop my .02 about your heater dilemma. at the moment I have 2x 1500w recirc heaters in my greenhouse each on it's own powerstrip and 25ft extension cord (though they specifically say this is bad!). at first they were plugged into the same strip and kept tripping my breaker but I split them up each pulling from a separate outlet and it's been great, staying a full 15'f warmer at night! Also I have a dual burner propane job site heater that I face onto my side garden that isn't enclosed it just gets a tarp over it at night. The heater stays about 3-4ft from the closest plants and keeps them above actually freezing. I think a heater in your tent and on an extension cord/ power strip is OK...
Cannabis is much more resilient than we give it credit for. I've been seeing a day/night temp difference of 20-30'f an my girls are still swelling!

@Csu... The heater I got is pretty kewl..

”Oil filled” heater (sounds like a cool screen name)

Looks exactly like the old school radiator heaters, like an accordion..
Has zero red hot coils...

The coolest aspect is got to be it's size.. It's only about 2' high and 1' long

Had very large range thermostat, plus low/med/high settings, the only thing that lights up is an orange power indicator light...should be perfect for my 5x5!!

So out emits gentle heat rather than giant intermittent busts of super heated air.
Fire risk is reduced significantly with this style of heater.

I'm still monitoring very closely and have not put it in the tent yet, rather setting it by a side vent and the garage ambient temp was 56°...in the tent 64°
Think I found the perfect” tent heater”

@GT... Brother, I KNOW you are fucking amazing and I've made that very clear, I've got much respect for you...

That being said, I also have concerns of you using a standard extension cord with those heaters. I would hate for an electrical fire to happen to you..

The cord was about 30$ for 25'..
Husky brand.
Specs.
14 gauge
15 amp
125V
1875 max watts
Insulated for up to 300v

At least do me favor?..to ease my anxiety..

Go grab the plug at three points and feel for hot wires..
At the outlet itself , the cord(s) and the point where the cord exits the unit.

A slight warmth is normal, any hotter and you are literally asking for an electrical issue.

I'm sure you know all this my bro, but I respect you, therefore I care about the well-being of yourself family and your grow.

Much respect
SDA

Thanks buddy each heater is on it's own 15amp breaker, plugged directly into 1800w rated powerstrips with heavy duty 12/3 gauge contractor grade extension cord each.
I had more of an issue upgrading my 100amp box to a 200 and running 10/3 romex to my 8light control box but that stuff is all straight forward once you are familiar with the step by step. I also had the benefit of an electrician buddy walk me through the process.

SDA another thing to be considered is the extension cord itself if you have more cord than needed make sure that it's not coiled tight in a bundle as that will heat up as well. I had an electrician tell me to spread the extra cord out and don't tie it up with tie wrap etc. it's a fire hazard. Of course I am sure you know about this just sounding off my friend.

GT all I can say is your experience is invaluable.

Happy muthafckn Saturday Colorado
EDIT Day 55 what can I say??..I'm a stoner
Today marks the 57th day o' flower time.

Cranked up the 1000w ballast to it's super setting for the last several days of flower, and I wish I'd flipped it much sooner, alas; learning..

Okay, right down to business..
This specific bud, I've shown partial pics of but saved the unveiling for the end...here is the champion top of the room... Note my sticky finger as a point of reference.

^ That sucker is heavy....how about a closer look? Eh?

Same bud-----> colorful pics today folks!

Más colores...¿Hablar español ¿Yo té gusta mucho, chingon...whistle whistle..lol

Super cold night cycle... Confirmation it certainly effects the pigment profile..getting tinges of purple on both SN phenos, from what I've read, this purple hue is indicative of elevated CBD levels.

^ I read thru a certain somebody's thread on the subject, wish I'd found that thread a long time ago.. didn't know this was 303 genetics.(it is right?)

This plant is getting chopped pretty soon,1-3 days..

pictures are fun as hell right now..

Hope everybody is having a wonderful Saturday!!

Everything looks spectacular bro, and they are definately approaching the finish line. Just make sure that you base your decision of when to harvest on the color of the trichomes, and not on the color of the pistils. Alot of people like to chop when their trichomes all go from cloudy to clear, but if you want to end up having a more pronounced couchlock type of high, then your going to want to wait until about 30% of your trichomes turn amber in color. In my opinion, it makes a noticeable difference in potency as well because it becomes a much more narcotic type of high. Anyway its all up to you on how you want your weed to affect you. I'm sure you already know all of this stuff, but ya, you definately don't want to harvest based on pistil/hair color.

I cant remember if you already posted this or not, but I'm curious to know what kind of nutes and medium your using? Didn't you say you were runnin' super soil? I might be thinking of someone else.

Thank you Senior!
Great advice, for sure..

I do want some amber for sure....I love to melt into the couch.

Hey...uh.
I've shown some of my shots at aguy that grows...

He says something about fox-tailing, and I've over fed nitrogen.

What the hell he taking about?...and is it really a big deal?

I believe the person that cloned these plants had vegged them early in some type of amended soil.

Me?.... I transplanted into Roots Organic, used GH two part system and kelp to finish veg.
In flower, added Optimize (Amino Acid mix) by Age Old.
Switched over to Age Old Bloom, Humboldt Ginormous, Advanced Nutrients Bud Candy and Over Drive.

Began flushing over at least 10 days..

Used 1/2 manufacture's directions of nutes. . Fed water then nutes in rotation.
