Playing with BHO and IWE

yeah for growing it would be bad ass.

I just cant understand how its better than a digital probe thats pretty much submerged in the center of the oil... how is that less accurate then you guys pointing at the fluctuating griddle, or the chamber at a point thats a few inches from the oil?? plus, like we mentioned, doesnt the temp gun constantly fluctuate temps like 2 or 3x per second, always going up by 1 or 2 degrees... how is that considered accurate????????????????

its a quick and instant temp right away though... whereas the digital probe take a min or 2 to get going until its all up to temp due to conduction, but once it gets going its pretty nice. not to mention its sitting there and you just gotta take a peek, not fiddle with this damn gun pointing and shooting all the time having to mentally find an average temp (not that any of that is hard or anything) and guess what the oil temp would be, does your temp really fluctuate that much??? set it and forget it! monitor via random glances at the probe. done ;)

you guys have a lot more time to fiddle with and enjoy your stuff though... im always rushing through this shit because I got 10 more things I gotta do, 5 of which are more important than the current task, so I like to find the "easy" (efficient?) way of doing things... work smarter, not harder.

because nothing actually stays at on constant temp anyway everything this is fluctuating by a degree or 2 even when the doctor takes your temp.

the gun is efficient, i dont trust your probe, it was made to have that whole piece of metal "probed" into a turkey or chicken, not to have its ridged metal probed placed upon another ridged object.

geometry
the probe is round a perfect circle, and ridged, the chamber bottom is flat and ridged. so there is a very small area where the 2 ridged objects are touching, in geometry if this was sketched out on that shity graphing paper, the probe would be tangent to the surface of the chamber, meaning it only touches in one spot.
thermal dynamics
also the paper does not lay perfectly over the probe, so there is a small pocket of air in between your paper and the surface of the chamber. granted this area only extends a half inch to an inch on either side of the probe.

then the oil that is on top of the paper in this small area that is elevated from the surface of the chamber is the oil that you are taking the temp of.

so you are getting 3 different temps on your probe.... i am getting one on my gun

lol kindergarten is right... looks like that was drawn by a 5 year old!!! that post was 1.5 hours later... I hope it didnt take you that long to draw that twitch........

half an inch to an inch??!?! that air space is so tiny and insignificant... its like 4 cubic millimeters, its funny how that center portion of the wax also waxes at the same time as other parts that are on the chamber eh?

lol its conduction man, the probe gets the same temp as everything else over time... just because only the bottom of the probe is touching, doesnt mean the rest of the probe wont get hot and up to temperature. mine stays very consistant... when the griddle starts to cool a tiny bit, which is barely does, it kicks on for a few seconds and heat right back up, quickly. the griddle may fluctuate a few degrees, but the chamber and the oil... nah, it doesnt have a chance to change.

how do you explain the probe and my temp gun being within a few degrees... the difference being the gun jumping everywhere, depending on where I point it... which is anywhere but directly on the oil which makes it a guessing game from there, and the probe staying consistant..

I just find the probe easier, just as, or more accurate. and cheaper. win win win!

Go buy a gun. They are only 27 bucks for the Ryobi one or harbor freight has everything on the cheap. I just got the gun and was previously using a candy thermometer. For the price it really works great.

he has his shit dialed in with his probe, i do not fore see him changing back to the gun

to each his own.... i just like giving VP shit lol hes one of the few that will talk shit back:finger: lmao jk

lol I like arguing, youre one of the ones here with the balls to argue!!! lol. make for interesting reading for the newbie... they can pick whos points they like more and then order up the probe...

and adam, ive already got a gun. I dont like it. probe is easier and gives me the same number in the end basically.

we have been blasting together virtually for almost a year now he likes his probe and he makes wax so enough said

as long as youre under 120 or so. it all the same in a way.. dont matter how youre measuring or how accurate it is.. just dont go over 120 and youll get wax, or whatever ya want.

Mmmmm Mmmm damn this ice wax smells and looks AMAZING! I have made good hash many, many times but this stuff is phenomenal. The 73 is def gonna be full melt shit, I took a little toke of the 25 and its ridiculously smooth and tastes just like the mk ultra pheno that I grew. Dry pics and full review to come :) the first pics of it are on page 9 but between twitch giving me carp ;) and the probe debate alas we are now on a new page.

Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful Sunday, I am, however stuck a work :) lol

me dont like how the tube has an inner diameter of 2.5 inches..
i had a tube that was 18 inches long, and 2.25 inches ID(inner diameter).

that tube was work! the ID is too large, so to make sure my butane hit as much material as possible, i had to draw a star shaped pattern with the tube while blasting to hit the sides..

i dont prefer a tube over 1.5 inches in ID now..

but if you are curious, my 18inch tube held about 2-3 ounces of material depending on my packing density.. a good avg of 2.5 ounces went into that tube...

as long as you prep the material correctly, and pack fairly snug, but not too tight, you should hit a qp or so..

Have you ever used a turkey baster? Those things yield killer ,:)
Hey man did you feel your big tube yielded shitty?
i feel like I'm hitting way better returns with my little 10 gram tube then with that big one you were talking about the 18 incher,
pie am fitting pretty much exactly what you fit 70 to 85ish grams in there.

And for Kase they usually say a lot higher then they really do I think to try and sell them idk, but I think the 18 inch one thats does 2.5 to 3 oz says its like a 90 to 130 gram one. BULLSHIT! Hahah whatever tho it's all a lot. Good luck with your blasting.
