stick one of these IN your chamber and it takes alll the guess work from the thermometer: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CDN-ProAccurate-Probe-Thermometer-/261247420520?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cd38f4868i have only had to do the 36 hour thing once, usually i can do it in 12 now, and when i do it i do run the pump continuously. there are others on here that cant run it 24/7 so they will get a full vac and leave it for a little bit then come back and re-vac it. the reason being the bho on the inside is off gassing so it is constantly changing the pressure in the vac chamber and yes make sure the heat is on too. the thermometer really helps so you know what the surface temp of the bottom of your vac chamber is.
also, I dont think the oil puts out any significant gasses to effect vacuum after the initian muffining is done, not any that are worth running the pump all day and all night at least. pull to a full vacuum, then turn your pump off. IMO, its not worth letting it run just to remove what the BHO has degassed, which probably really isnt much. not enough to make the needle on the gauge even move slightly. it goes from like a 99.9% vacuum, to like a 99.5% vacuum after de gassing probably.... I wouldnt worry.
maybe turn the pump on every few hours. crack the valve open... let the pump suck on the chamber for a few second, just to remove any possible de gassing, and turn it back off. your electricity bill, neighbors, and pump seals will thank you!
