Yes fm not much tho but was nice and had builders where flowering tent is and the ones in there got neglected due to Gavin lovely blueberry and being a lazy cunt haha, so starting up again after the weekend when my 6 sweet in sour have more roots il get pics up when I'm gona pot them up and start a thread

If I just crunch the stalk and bend the top over, I don't really get much bushing out in the lower nodes. Do you keep the tops trained lower than other nodes after you super crop, or just let them pop back up?

It sounds like you're onto the concept. Consider starting to crop earlier in veg, not just when it seems like you need to because height is becoming an issue. "Down and Out!"

Sometimes all it needs is a little weight to keep it down, that's why I like LST because I can simply release the wire a bit. But like Shwag said, it works out better when you start early. By keeping the main top(s) low the plant spreads its auxin hormone to others branches, causing those to grow as if their were at the peak of the plant. If you let them pop back up too soon that doesn't work.

When I have the time a combination of LST and cropping is the shiznit. It can really shorten veg times and keep your girls low and bushy bongsmilie

Spreading the good info! Nice one dude. There is absolutely no need in my opinion to cut a plant in order to get a multi top even canopy imo.

Putting aside for a min that my plants are longer than planned (had to wait with 12/12 to have enough time for spraying TM on a mature plant), this pic shows imho the advantage of starting low. Less branches going sideways through the canopy itself (fuller in the back with the sativa CF in the back, which branches twice this length).

A few stretchers in the front and in the back, but nothing dramatic like last time.. I can pull those down a bit, but will probably let them be, they don't produce shade 'behind' them cause there's obviously the wall/door.

going to be my next grow in the 4x4 tent so will be after your help lads heres a few pics and also of the clones that will be invesments for new bulbs and things, also payed for them pips of the clones cant wait for them to come.... last 2 pics the sweet n sour to flower my self so once iv potted them up later today or in morning i will be making a thread and expect to see you lads over there helping me achieve the best out of them!!!

Moved one of the stretchers in the back to the side yesterday, worked out nicely. Leaving the other up for pics an just for no reason :)


I got my journal up, check my sig. I'll continue to post canopy control specific updates here as well of course :D

Oh I won't, I was about to say I wouldn't be able to forget about your trees anyway, would love to see some pics again, and there they are :D It all looks awesome but especially that huge tree in the back is really impressive. How's the smell?

I've been wondering every time I see your pics, about time I ask: the cover above the plants, is that to protect them against too much heat from the sun? Only reason I could come up with, while here the challenge, with guerrilla grows, is to find a place where it can stand open in the sun. I should visit my outdoor plant, haven't seen her in weeks :oops: Mother of my Kolossus clone is somewhere between two freeways, but I think she hasn't grown a lot because she only gets direct sunlight for a few hours a day, the rest of the day it goes partly through a canopy of trees.


Oh... speaking of canopy of trees. I recently took a walk through a forest and something made me think of this you all in this thread. I"m standing on a hill, those trees are much higher than they look.

bud, it takes a plant one week to show signs of PM so those look early so your plant got infected about a week ago. Are you treating that plant? Dont want to slack on PM, I would also recommend you clean your growing area and make sure your air flow is good. Fortunately where I live in California its so dry with no humidity.

@sat, I had the cover on it due to the sun and heat where I live, we average 100+F weather here so it helps them get through. Last year I didnt cover and the heat was bad, we had 24 days consecutive of 105F+ weather. I live in a valley desert. lol Funny you asked about it cause I took the cover off yesterday.
