Supercropping and Canopy Control

Hey that scrog looks so different from the side. Great job on spreading it all out. Looks like it turned out nicely!

Nice job FM! Clean and simple.

Funny, every time I look at the scrog my eyes wonder off to that huge CoG in the back (Cube of Green :eyesmoke: )

The little seemingly hopeless CF in the right corner in the back of my closet made a huge comeback. I didn't LST that one much, so the branches aren't as curved and can't pull them down. I considered cropping a few side ways, but that would make it too full. Since it's in the corner, it doesn't have heat issues so letting it go. Done stretching already anyway. It finally became a little greener too.

What I recommend you do bud, is take some fishing line or rope and tie it your hood and hang a temp gauge where the canopy will be. Dont let the temp go higher than 85F(dont know what it is in Celsius)

If I am confusing you let me know, I will post a pic of what mine looks like. What kind of spray did you get for the mites?

Peace

29.444444C :) Google "f to c" and it will show a calculator above the search results.

Anyway, that's spot on and pretty much what I do as well. A common trick on my side of the pond is to fold a piece of foil above the gauge to exclude direct radiation heat from the bulb and the gauge from heating up itself (those with large LCD displays for example).

That said, a 250w can go on 25cm (400 watt on 40 cm, 600watt on 60 cm -- easier in CM, just remove a zero), which is 10". With a cooltube you should be able to go even lower but at some point it won't go wide enough anymore so it's a trade off between height and surface area.

Edit: doh... talking about small plants not full canopy :) Like Shwag I only used T5 in that stage. I know one guy who uses a 400watt HPS from the start, at 60CM/24" and then lowers slowly but seen plenty of growers do 12/12 from seed with HPS only so if you're careful and considering you have a cooltube it should be no prob.

They will come back if you don't keep spraying even without any evidence of those little fuxors. I'm battling them now as well. They worked their way in with the heat spell we had earlier this year and I've dropped 5-6 bombs and sprayed the plants and boxes 12-15 times. Still have some but they're dwindling.

Foliar sprays Neem, Azamax, Dr. Doom bombs and most recently Dr. Doom Pyrethrin spray. Using systemic SNS treatments too, but it doesn't seem to work too well. DIE DIE DIE!

They like a hot and dry environment, so if you're not flowering try to keep your temps in the 70-75 range and use a humidifier, that should help too. 85 is usually as hot as I like to see in my tents, I prefer 70-80 but usually run about 82 in the summer with AC.

Be coooool!

hopefully i can keep the temps cool like, the tests are starting today i have left the heater plugged in to get it so it doesnt drop below 64f once thats sorted the outtake temp controller should be here to get it set so it dont raise over 75f then i should be good to go under the cooltube its just i want dont really want a big stretch with is still summit im unaware of the light to top of plants

iv got rid of the cuts and bleached the room before i potted my seeds up its just so i got it at hand case the little bastards come back, got a new sms temp controller aswell for high temps
Never heard of it or used it before. Let me know how it turns out for you. I use a simple mixture of Neem, Pro-Tek and organic dish soap. Just have a Eagle Eye for those fucking mites! I hate them and caterpillars. Those fuckers terminate bud quickly!

Peace

Thanks guys! I think if I can finish this outdoor it will def be epic! After this no more large tall plants, I rather do a 4foot high SCRoG that is 20ft x 20ft. lol That way shit wont be over 9ft tall!
