The USA is to sexually charged to be able to go nude. It is all about sex in this country. The naked body is not seen as a natural form but a sexual form.

Has nothing to do with religion either. The media over the past 60 years has used sex as advertisement to the point that we see eachother as sex objects.

In societies where nudity is accepted the breasts are not merely man's play things. They are for nursing babys and are not as stimulating to the male eye because they are common to see in use.

The penis is not seen as fully erect. It is seen 24/7 as flaccid and just there as the man goes about his day.

Clothing in those societies is to protect the skin and delicate areas of the body.

I think it would be the same as using profanity, you use it enough and individual words no longer hold any power. You eventually see enough nudity to become accustomed to it and in turn less people view people as sexual objects

Come to think of it, there's probably a good argument in there that supports decreased numbers of sexual assaults or otherwise sexually motivated crimes (similar to how in countries that allow porn you see similar results v. the ones that don't)

Sexually open societies tend to be much more mature about things like human anatomy/physiology, sexual orientation, STD's and teen pregnancies, sex education, etc.
