Not mature enough to see a baby eat? If you said that to my wife, one of us would be knocked out. Most likely we'd not be friends anymore either. Society is extremely fucked up if you can talk about how gay men live their life sticking their dick up another ass in a kindergarten class. If you complain the principal calls the cops. Yet, people get their panties in a bunch when a baby just wants to eat.
Yep, same page on this one. I agree that it's not as big a deal as we make it. You are painting it as though by not letting your wife breast feed at the table of 10 year olds birthday party that baby must starve. That's not the case I'm making. A feeding between mother and baby is very sacred, if she chooses to share that experience with me, cool. If my wife says she'd be more comfortable not letting the neighborhood kids partake in the sharing, she's not being a monster and respecting her position doesn't make us weak. Of course it's only a big deal because we make it a big deal. We would never stop a child from watching a puppy eat, so why should a baby be different? Because society makes it different. Wrong or right, that's the path our country took.
I work in the medical field, after seeing boobs ranging from new born to 100 they have lost any shock value they held as a teen. Like I said, for me it's not an issue. But if Chucky Cheese wants her to wear a feeding towel and cover up, I believe they have that right. If your baby is at risk by not being allowed to eat in the open in the middle of a birthday party for 5th graders then the obvious answer would be to not take the baby to Chucky Cheese. Why does it have to be more complicated than that?
But I do understand where your coming from. A woman can get up on stage and show her tits and get paid for it, slap a baby on her nipple and people gasp and want to lock her up. It's fucked up as you say. I don't think talking to kindergarteners about dicks in asses is proper either. I also don't think we should teach fisting to jr high kids but apparently that's OK too. Yes society is fucked up, but I'm for politeness and respect. I respect your right to breast feed where others also respect that right. I also respect the right of a business to ask you to cover it up if that's what they want. Why is that evil?
