Oh I wish I had a plant.. err.... I mean "tree" like that to pinch every day. :D Great job on the cropping man, I look forward to seeing the huge ball of bud it's going to turn into.
There isnt a moment that goes by where I think damn I still got 2 months before it even thinks about flowering!!! Should be very interesting

No, is going to be first time DNA Genetics. I actually wanted to go for their Chocolope (9 week haze) earlier this year but the DNA Genetics shop was always closed when I got there. A few weeks ago I finally made it to Amsterdam before they close (18:30).

OG18 x Skunk sounds like a winner :eyesmoke: Skunk #1 is the first stable 'Nederwiet', crossed with OG Kush... that's like having two of the best classics of two worlds. Nice choice. I picked the Skywalker OG for similar reasons, from seedfinder.eu:

"This is NOT a cross with Dutch Passion Skywalker. It is the CLONE-ONLY "Skywalker OG" from California crossed with DNA Genetics "OG #18". This was stated by a rep from DNA Genetics."

I'm trying to score a bottle of Tiresias Mist (found one who ships from the US to NL but the shipping is three times the price of the bottle...) so I can cross the two DNA genetics strains I have now with one or more strains from probably Sannie (hopefully the new Sugar Punch) so I hopefully end up with some great Cali x Netherlands crosses I can grow for the next several years.

How's it going so far? Oh wait I see you have a link in your sig - checking out now :D
You talking about Colloidal Silver? Make it yourself bro! Cheap and easy, check this redneck out!
I don't know if they got Silver coins in the Netherlands, but I'm sure whoever has it near you, you can order them as collector items online for cheap. Lol, apparently RIU sells them because they hyperlinked the word $ilver coins to a retailer. I feel ignorant, I don't even know about silver coins outside the US... but I make up for it with the colloidal silver.

Everything a hydro store sells, you can make yourself, even nutrients. Some shit is just way easier than others, but they just keep it all a secret, lol.

Hey, thanks for posting. I know about Colloidal Silver, and could surely make that myself, but, someone wrote a good reply to that a while back:

1. To me, $20 is nothing. I can sell, if I were to do such things, a couple nuggets that are just laying around for $20. Fem seeds cost around $10 each. $20, BFD. (You can get Tiresias Mist on ebay shipped for $20)

2. Some people have not experienced success with homemade colloidal silver. Some have reported producing colloidal silver with not high enough ppm. (I have wondered if heating the solution to remove some water would raise the ppm without hurting the solution)

3. Producing colloidal silver is just one more thing for me to do. I neglected my plants a bit last grow because I got busy. One less thing to do for me is great. You can always go out and get more money. You can never go out and get more time.

4. Tiresias Mist is strong and it works. If your ppm is not high enough, you may need to spray twice a day. I have sprayed once a day with Tiresias Mist and it worked.

I don't have a problem with either method, I do not mind spending a little money to produce thousands of dollars worth of seeds. If I get 4 fem seeds, a bottle of Tiresias Mist is basically free. i have thousands of fem seeds.
As an alternative I could have bought "Lesbian Dream", a local product, as well, pretty much same stuff as Tiresias Mist. I just really want to try TM in particular, already ordered a bottle yesterday, from ebay (some hydro store in US), shipping was only $11. :D

GREAT INFO!!!!!! +rep

thanks again. used this thread for info when i super cropped my 3 tall girls last night. needed to level out the canopy with my other 2 strains. it was super easy, just a little nerve racking, pinching and bending the tops w/o breaking it completely in half.

couple pics of the aftermath

I made and used CS and it worked semi ok. I didn't get any pollen but I did get her to push baws. I was terrible at application and would miss days at time. Basically, I think a very important important part of the process is staying on top of frequency. Good weekend peeps! Enjoy whats left of it bongsmilie

I'll post the final weight when it's dry but at this point I'm actually not very excited about the weight. Hard to tell since I'm harvesting in stages. I had over 18 oz last time (half pipe scrog and Sugar punch is a high yielder), might be as little as 12 this round (and a whole lot of popcorn...). It's over 90% calyxes and definitely a quality smoke though and it should be enough till next harvest (in 11/12 weeks) :eyesmoke: They did turn out a lot better than it thought they would be a month ago but I won't be growing this strain again. I also think with some more space, some more defoliating early (which I didn't want to do much because it being my first round hydro and figured I need all the leaves) they would have turned out much better.

Here's a pic of my next batch (the bushy one is a clone), as you can see they are ready for some more space and more light:

God dammit I wish I could bring some SoCal love to the Netherlands. I would do things there that would scare the fucking pants off of half the cafe's. How cheap is land out there? Lol. I've long since overcome a short cold season up here on the mountain, and any amount of humidity can't scare me!

I grow for personal use only, like many small (closet/tent) growers here, because the coffeeshops often have a hard time to offer a constant level of quality. Which has a lot to do with the 'backdoor' trade being illegal (supplying coffeeshops makes you a "member of a criminal organization"). The 'backdoor problem' is THE issue in public debate and politics and legalize campaigns. As small as the chance is, if it becomes legal in a free market way, there WILL be a gold rush here and you could make a shit load of money bringing some love (bring some GSC or similar as well, people love cookies here ;)).

Lol. I've long since overcome a short cold season up here on the mountain, and any amount of humidity can't scare me!
Netherweed is from origin acclimatized mj for NL from California. Nowadays the coffeeshops usually buy in indoor weed only though. Even greenhouse weed is often for export (especially with the last few summers) or hash. I haven't smoked outdoor weed in over a decade. It's not just the low temps and a short season, it's usually cloudy and rainy (and possibly freezing and snowing late in the season). Basically just not enough sunshine. Besides that the cops would be sending canna-choppers and canna-drones if you were to put mj plants on 'land'. ;-)

How cheap is land out there?
Not cheap :) It's one of the most densely populated countries in Europe (besides a few even small/mini countries) yet it's the 2nd/3rd (depending on money or good etc) largest agricultural exporter in the world, while we only have 200x150miles in total, so yeah land is scarce and pricey. Most grows are in basements, attics, inside bridges and pretty much any other structure with some open space in it. Even underground in parks/forests, and old WWII bunkers. If it were legal it would be some in the many glass greenhouses with backup lights.

Search on youtube for "grote hennepkwekerij" (cops still call it 'hempgrow...', grote means large i.o.w those are all from large grows getting raided). Warning: contains disturbing images of MJ plants getting killed :(

Well, at least I was right about 1 thing, I got a whole lot of popcorn.

But, I was fortunately wrong about the rest. The total of quality stuff I got from this run is a little over 16.5 oz. Still not great for 600watt but considering I use 400watt for the first 2-3 weeks of 12/12 and only have a little less than 3x4feet space, I'm 'quite pleased'. The Kolossus I harvested earlier (only a little over 1 oz) is not in the pic, it's gone up in smoke already together with about half an oz of Liberty Haze:
h16.jpg

Can't make good tric shots with this phone without proper light, but some budshots nonetheless. I was wrong about the 90% calyxes too, it's more like 99% :bigjoint:

The popcorn. Close to 3oz... It's not even that bad, just too airy for me to spend the time on cutting it. So, will turn that into hash.

I'm going to start LST-ing my new plants any day now so updates of new round starting soon :eyesmoke:

It just seems with all the opposition, if someone could do it big, do it ridiculous, there would be no doubting they're inevitable domination of the market out there. If I ever do go out there I'll fly private, because I have everything you guys want here in it's original cut, Girl Scout Cookie Thin Mint, Blue Dream, and OG Kush, just hanging out in my backyard :D I see all those amazing dutch grows busted by the cops, and they are definitely doing it right! But, they just seemed so very obvious! I saw little going into detection prevention, and the way they were set up, it wasn't possible to operate a garden with less than 4 people. But after seeing that, I am not doubting that people there definitely know how to do it big. But I guess without the heat there, not a lot of people invest into thermal shielding and air cooling.

Oh man, so cool, I wish I could go out there and see what it's like. I'm interested in learning Dutch, but the lazy man in me wants to learn Frisian, lol. Is Frisian fairly common out there, it seems like it's pretty exclusive to a few islands and towns.

And hell yeah, that's a pretty good yield all things considered. Starting with a 400w is smart!

Oh man, you are my new BFF  Just seeing "cookie" on the menu in coffeeshops would be a huge selling point. I'd be extremely happy with some pollen already (Tiresias Mist ;)). I've been pondering on how to get the original over here while avoiding legal probs at customs etc, not even primarily for commercial reasons, I just want it. To grow, smoke, mix it. "Fresh minty" is according to an old dutch growguide the true taste of pure sinsemilla (when you don't burn it, suck on a pure joint without lighting it).

I saw little going into detection prevention
Ah but the ones that do it properly don't get caught very often but moreover they aren't the ones the cops call the press for, they want to show how dangerous growers are, not how professional some operate. Stealth is for many actually top priority though, with the population being so dense and typically in small houses keeping grows private from neighbors etc is essential. Most growers here get busted after "an anonymous tip" (meaning they got snitched on or cops smelled something or took a peek without a warrant). Sound (from exhausts) and especially odor control is a big thing here. Cooling air not so much as we indeed need the warmth (and heat our homes at least half of the year).

Criminals (the real ones), growgangs(?) are giving the rest (hobby growers, 'breadgrowers' who pay their bills with it, and old hippies) a bad name. Simply put they don't care about anything except money. Take one down and they stuff two new houses full with plants. The house/building and entire setup is considered disposable, multiple growshops in every city anyway. They push it to shops but also export. Making it easy for the MoJ to spread negative propaganda about all growers, making more people snitch on growers.

It just seems with all the opposition, if someone could do it big, do it ridiculous, there would be no doubting they're inevitable domination of the market out there.
Despite the opposition there has never been a shortage in supply of coffeeshops. One of the main issues is electricity. The larger growers need to bypass the meter to avoid getting noticed and 'steal electricity', which eventually gets them noticed too. Power companies and housing rental service (which are large former-government corporations here), counties, police, they all work together. What can I say... lots of sheople here.

Oh man, so cool, I wish I could go out there and see what it's like. I'm interested in learning Dutch, but the lazy man in me wants to learn Frisian, lol. Is Frisian fairly common out there, it seems like it's pretty exclusive to a few islands and towns.
They speak Frysian in the entire province Frysia (11 cities and a whole bunch of small towns) and that includes most of the 'Waddenislands' (the row of island at the top). Haven't spoken in it years, never learned to write it well, but I understand it entirely (lived in Frysia for a few years). Frysia is one of the farmer provinces, and there's a region where the economy is the worst of the Netherlands. To put that in perspective, that region is like 15x10 miles and there hardly live any people, large cities close by. Land and houses are a lot cheaper in some (beautiful, near the sea) areas in Frysia. Houses just outside small remote towns with large towns. ;-)

And thanks for the rep comment!
