What kind of veg time frame do you have man, also i was just checking out your thread earlier and i gotta say you should probably top all of your girls if you don't know that their specific growth characteristics are good for a scrog, stone slacker has a pretty awesome single post guide on training for a scrog around here some where ill try and find it.

I have around a week of 18/6 and I believe the first 10 days of flower to train them before letting them do their thing. the net has 36 squares if that helps lol.

What are the dimensions of the screen? It seems to me that a week might not be enough time but that all depends on the size of your screen of course...

its to fit my 1.2m (4x4) tent making each 'hole' 20cm square, far larger than chickenwire and similar small screens I have seen... net.jpg though I wont have any of these in there net1.jpg

With the size of your screen and the amount of plants you have it seems like it might be doable, but with the size of the holes in the screen and the lack of training/topping I'm not sure how much of a scrog it will be, as I'm sure you know with all of your experience, cannabis loves to grow like a Christmas tree and that's the opposite of what you want in a scrog.

Well its been a while since i have done an update so i figured its about time to do one, its been about 19 days since i started the flowering light cycle and about 9 days since i noticed flowers and here they are, last night i defoliated the burmese kush and i still haven't gotten around to the veneno that's why it looks so much fuller...

Look at that reflection off the mylar. You my friend have just doubled what you could pull without the mylar. Looks awesome and good job!! :)

Thanks for stopping in Kushcanuck I'm always glad to have some more valuable insight in my thread, as far as missing my grow goes don't worry about it man, it seems to me as though many people have missed it lol, accept for all of the great contributors I've had so far, stoneslacker, shaggin, drofwelchmagic, and anyone else who has contributed to me growing some awesome buds...

Thanks for stopping in again stone, always glad to have you around, i just hope i can come close to what you pulled off with your 250 watter lol...

hey dude, sure is coming along real nice, hope my SEMI scrog ha, looks half as nice as yours in 3-4 weeks time, they're in n under the hps btw, 3 days ahead of schedule and yeah, my holes in the net are a little large aint they, be fine for fkn conifers or the like lol, anyway, so I got to thinking.... ouch.... should I half the current squares both ways turning each one into four 10cm x 10cm gaps with string or summin. currently 36 gaps @ 20cm x 20cm. mind you, 144 gaps is a lot to fill in 3-4 weeks.... ooooh I do love a challenge but ones that are doable appeal far more than doomed to failure ones... I love gardening.. (but wish I could go on holiday for trimming days).

I was actually going to suggest something like reducing the size of those squares by half with some string but hadn't gotten around to it, anyways man sounds like a good idea...

So i just got done defoliating my veneno and damn did i remove a lot, last time when i was defoliating the burmese kush i saved the tips that looked like they had a decent bit of flower on them and dryed them out over 3 days, just today they were dry enough to smoke and damn i gotta say its pretty fucking good already i cant wait to see what the finished product is like. So anyways today when i defoliated the veneno i saved pretty much every thing and had my gf trying to salvage anything she could, she actually came up with a decent bit of premature bud which is great because we havent been able to find bud for a while, but yeah i wish i had her do that when i did the burmese kush cause i threw out a lot that i was just to lazy to bother with, and she came up with a pretty decent amount off of this veneno...

So i have been contemplating my situation with this stealth dresser / veg cab for a while now, i got a booster fan a while back and installed it inline with my flowering rooms ventilation system, i hoped that the negative air pressure from my flowering room combined with the booster fan would solve my heat problems. But i have still been having light proofing / ventilation problems, i have light proofed the ducting because it vents directly into my flowering room, and at the moment i am running it with 1 23 watt cfl cloning 4 clones off of my current grow, I'm using 1 bulb because it already gets up to 92F with the light proofing in.

So anyways i have also been kicking around the idea of reducing the height of my scrog system by a large amount and building a storage compartment/ drying chamber that sits directly below my scrog crates, and a few days ago an idea came to me. Because i haven't been able to figure out how to properly light trap the stealth dresser and because the ventilation is fine with out the light traps or bulbs i have decided i am going to convert it into a giant drying chamber and i am going to convert my flowering chamber into a flowering chamber / veg cab.

I have a very large amount of vertical space that i have noticed my scrog just isn't using, in my last grow my plants barley stretched 10 inches above the screen and I'm quite a ways along into my current grow and still have feet to work with. So i am going to build a floating platform about 2 1/2 feet off of the ground and build a light trap into the platform so i can ventilate the veg portion of the room using my flowering rooms exhaust, and hopefully this will be the end of all my problems and a nice bit more space to work with...

Yeah i think it will work out pretty well, i just have to figure out how i am going to light trap the floating floor with out restricting the air flow to much, I'm working on a plan and i don't think it will be to much of a problem, the main reason i had such a problem with veg cabs light trap was the insanely small space i had to implement it in because of stealthiness, the floor of my current grow is a giant light trap that is used to ventilate the entire closet and it has no problems keeping light in and out and lots of air moving... As far as pics go though its gonna be a while, I'm gonna wait till i harvest this crop to separate the room, I'm also going to build some new scrog screens that are much shorter, I'm most likely going to build them from pvc and attach them to buckets, i originally went with these wooden crates because i knew i could do it decently with wood and because they are strong, but their size and weight make them very inconvenient, specially since i am going to have to rotate the plants a lot if i want to emulate a light mover.

Here is a diagram of the design for my light trap, every thing is scaled to 10 pixels per 1 inch and the perspective is from the side, the floating light trap/flowering room floor will be about 7 inches tall, 26 inches deep, and about 58 inches long, I'm going to use 4x6s to make a frame around plywood panels that are cut to fit as snugly to the walls as possible, after i finish the box i am going to cut it in half for ease of installation inside my tiny closet and then i am going to mount 2x4s to the studs on all 4 walls and use them to support the floating shelf. I am going to mount the light blocking 2x4s alternating to the bottom and top of the panels to achieve a light trapping effect, there will be 2 intakes cut into the top of the panel at the front and the back they will be 4 inches wide and run the entire length of the floating shelf, there will be 1 exhaust cut for the veg cab it will be 8 inches wide and run the entire length of the self as well, i believe this will provide sufficient ventilation to the veg and flowering chambers, what do you guys think?

Looks good!! Another thing you could do is paint the inside of your light trap in flat black. No light will ever make it through there :)
