Here are some updated pics, i've been keeping my hood at about 2 inches from my baby's and they seem to be loving it so far, i've also been training for the past 10 days but I'm thinking its about time to start letting them go, i really cant wait to see what kind of results i get now that i have been keeping my hood at 2 inches away instead of the whopping 12-13 i had it at for the entirety of my last grow, and not only has my lighting improved drastically but i've been supplementing with cal mag and switched up to hempy, i cant wait to see what i yield, i just hope the genetics of my girls are up to it...

Nice and thick in there :) Even under the hps lighting you can tell they look a lot healthier than last time. I know they are different strains but the Cal/Mag looks to be what the problem was. Look forward to the results of this one. Peace!!

I agree! They look so healthy and happy now. Good move dropping the light down, 2 inches might be a bit close though. At that distance its not the heat that is the problem but the light intensity. By the looks of them it's fine though, just keep an eye out for discoloration or bleaching of the leaves or tips of the buds. I would say 5-8 inches would be ideal.

Things are going to get exciting around here in the next few weeks!

looking real good there bro cant wait to see it in a months time. lol hey, sorry to hijack ur thread but I need help from sumwer. this is my problem....View attachment 2674826 Do you think CalMag would sort this problem out peeps???
That looks like a possible ph issue Dr. You should always raise your ph slightly in flower. I run hempy buckets with str8 perlite and start ph at 5.8 in veg, raise to 6.0 early flower and raise in small increments till I'm around 6.5 by week 7. Might be different in a soiless special mix like your running. She looks close to finish so I wouldn't sweat it too much if I were you.

thanks m8, appreciate the input. one thing I didn't and don't check, is ph. my bad but as AN are supposed to be ph perfect no matter what, I didnt see the need... yeah, im a tit.. lol. BUT, out of 8 plants, 3 were like this and other 5 were pretty much still lush green at harvest...7d825e8f-e00a-441d-8474-775d990246af.jpg3ddd95ba-ea04-4654-ad98-20d5873cf1b3.jpg20130522_162021.jpg20130522_162046.jpg <---- the healthier of the sisters, notice side by side in pic 3??? same strain, conditions, etc. etc.

Thanks for the compliments guys the plants seem to be moving along nicely, i have been using the gh flora series nutes and I'm in the transition to bloom phase of the regimen, but i was wondering when i should switch over to full bloom? I am 15 days in to flowering and have just given them their second dose of bloom transition nutes...

Hey Dr. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I also use the AN line and I thought ph perfect only keeps ph the same as it is when it comes out of the tap..?? Then u still have to ph from there. Or ph first then add nutes and it'll keep ph wherever u set it.. I hope that was clear...?? Lol

Switch now. I like to switch to bloom phase after my first flower flush, around 14-18 days and will give my first P/K boost at 1/4 str around this time. I'll go till about week 4 then switch to an aggressive bloom mix with 1/2 str P/K boost and gradually increase till I'm at full strength by the beginning of week 6. I will also bump my ph up to around 6.0 at day 14 and run till about week 5 which I'll raise it to about 6.3.

not at all mate, if it is alkaline or acidic, the nutes bring it to the right ph, however, if using tapwater, always allow a day or so for the chlorine to evaporate.

Thanks for the info stone, i don't have any PK booster to give my baby's for now but i am going to kick things into high gear as of today as you suggested and see what happens, every day I'm seeing a decent bit of fresh growth so I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens when i step things up to the proper dosage...

I just took a look at my baby's as today is watering day and i wanted to make sure they were not running dry while i wait for the water to dechlorinate and wait to mix my full dose of bloom nutes, they smell amazing and are looking beautiful, gotta love them curves... Anyways yeah i was just wondering at what point do you guys start defoliating your girls isn't it around day 20 or so, and am i right in believing that you guys remove every thing underneath the screens?

Yep I remove everything below the screen but I usually start with the lower stuff around day 12 or so then work my way up. You should be allright but I never like to remove more than 10-15% of the total plant at one time.

Lol thanks for the info man but I'm afraid i might have been quick on the trigger, I'm drunk as fuck and interpreted what you said as go full strength like now lol, thankfully I'm not that far off from what full strength bloom's formula is, i was doing 2/2/2 mild and i just added an extra tsp of bloom and subtracted 1tsp of grow for a total of 1/2/3 for aggressive bloom and ripening, I'm hoping every thing will be alright as i believe nitrogen to be the most likely culprit in nute burn but i guess ill find out tomorrow... Thanks for the info on the lollipopping, i guess I'm a bit over due but that should work out pretty well as i am looking for clones to keep just in case one of these 2 bitches turns out to be a phenom...
