Mass shootings, what do they have in common?

The estimates of firearms in this country fange from 150 million to 200 million. There could easily be a million "assault" rifles out there. Even if they do get banned, we can still buy them from Eric Holder.
And how many of the civilly-held ones are assault rifles? Since they're Federally classified as machine guns (class 3 only), it'll be less than 0.1% of that total. All class 3 weapons in the USA currently total 240 thousand, give or take. cn

The masses don't consider only fully automatic weapons as the only assault weapon.

It was the police who pushed for banning the database publication. Their families are being threatened.
Yes it was the police and the pro-gun Politicians but the only reason it passed
in NY (I live here) is because the majority of Libs/Dem politicians wanted it also..they have the control here in NY.

Yeah like these anti-gun politicians here in NY want their personal info out there for the world to see....when their a$$ is on the line they are quick to agree .

There's a few other things the police would like changed but these other things don't put the Libs/Dem politcians here in NY in danger so these politicians don't give a crap unless it involves them and their families.

Yeah right..these dirtbag Dems / leftwing anti-gun politicians added it because they were worried about the police having their personal info for the world to see and not their own personal info and safety. What a crock !

I still stand by what I say and that is the NY Libs/Dems are POS hypocrites.

Other than using firearms and not going to gun shops, shooting ranges or police stations to do their killing?

They all had a history of anti depressant/ssri drugs... why isn't anybody talking about that?

Gun control is like banning cars because of drunk drivers. How about we run background checks on car buyers? Or a bartender has to do a background check before he can serve you that beer? Or banning cars that can go faster than 55 mph, after all, why do you need a car that goes faster than that?
They were all in gun free zones. How do you stop someone actively shooting people? Throw a stack of papers at him? (laws) Examine his mental health (mental health)? Time travel to the past really quick and check if he has a criminal record ? (Background checks) Make sure he has to spend two seconds reloading more often in the event he bought magazines made after 20xx? (Magazine size restrictions)

NO YOU FUCKING SHOOT HIM

Yes, thank you, I forgot the obvious. Although, I don't think Loughner was in a gunfree zone but you're right, just another example of government intentions going bad. I'd like a gun control advocate to explain how all these school shootings could take place in gun-free zone. I mean, after all, if it's a gun-free zone, how did the guns get there? Did they enter the zone illegally? Did they just appear out of thin air? Were they smuggled in by Mexican coyotes?

[h=2]The Rapid Increase in Prescriptions for Mood-Altering Drugs[/h]These mood-altering drugs are the fastest-growing segment of the pharmaceutical market and as a group constitute the second biggest class of medication in total sales and prescriptions

  • In children alone, over the 3-year period from 1997-2000, the use of antipsychotic medication increased 138%.(1) It has continued to increase since then.
  • The global use of ADHD medication rose by 300% from 1993 to 2000.(2)
  • From 2000 to 2010, the number of physician outpatient visits in which ADHD was diagnosed increased 66% from 6.2 million to 10.4 million visits.(3)
  • Of these ADHD visits, psychostimulants have remained the dominant treatment; they were used in 96% of treatment visits in 2000 and 87% of treatment visits in 2010.(4)
  • Use of antidepressant drugs has soared nearly 400% since 1988, making this class of medication the most frequently used by people ages 18-44.(5)
  • 11% of Americans ages 12 years and older took antidepressants during the 2005-08 study period.(6)
  • The use of untested and potentially unsafe combinations of psychotropic drug cocktails has increased 500% in children. The authors of the study warned that our prescribing practices are not in sync with our current knowledge.(7)
  • Antipsychotic usage has shown a 10-20% rate of increase per year over the last few years
  • Current sales of these drugs total about $12 billion/year

Just because the sign says 70 doesn't mean we need to go that fast.bongsmilie

I think the sign should read 20, and should be enforced by all means possible. Let's lower the speed limit...for the children.
. I say raise it to 100, then maybe people will be scared enough of dying that they will put their phones done and fucking drive.
