So it begins! My 1st attempt at cloning...9 clones cut. 4 x Purple Haze, 4 x Pineapple express and 1 x Acid


Soaked Jiffy pellets in 'MBL' (mainly fulvic acid) with aerated water.

Cut clones, trimmed rah rah.

Used a organic rooting hormone (which has fulvic and sea kelp in it)

Good to go!


Directly under 10w floodlight. Should be plenty of light there.


Starting to look like a proper grow....almost...

Cloning, the hallmark of a SoG grower. I love watching people clone. If you saw me clone you'd probably laugh . What's the RH in the room? I'm of the opinion that the higher the RH of the room, the sooner you can remove the cover of your cloner.

Bro...i have not a clue how to clone....I swear i could see and hear the birdz laughing at me looking through the window...

As for the RH. No idea. The only meter i have is a temp/PH/light meter which is quite primitive.... like my growing techniques...

I expected my clones to wilt after a day. But they havent. Not sure if this is a good or a bad thing?

im no master by any means, but mine never really wilted either. i noticed that they only start to get a little yellow and show deficiencies, but i guess that's just because they are producing roots. i realized as long as you get all the right conditions down, they are guaranteed to root. out of countless failed experiments and methods, nothing worked until i got the heat,dome, and proper lighting down.

Thanks bruv. Yeah i shall see....Dome is off now, and im away for a few days. If they dont work, then i guess i'll try again.....there is plenty of mothers to go round...

Duuuude don't go away when you got clones in the house. Nooooooo. LOL.

Actually every time I go away when I have clones starting, they die . I'm refusing to leave for my sister's house this holiday till the clones I cut almost 2 weeks ago are rooted enough to survive. Seriously. There's no way I'm coming back to dead clones this year! And if those little ones aren't dead when you get back, either your room has very high RH or you sir are the Clone Masta!

I was looking at 60-100w floodlights, but i also wanted to keep them close to the plants and didnt want big veg and flower enclosures. So settled on 50w. Still not sure if they will flower, but great for veg so far.

Having watercooled 10 of those,you got yourshelf a mini central heating for the cold days ...
10 WW of those ....2500 Watt of WW led light .... What a grow that one should be ?...Gosh.... )

So just got back from my Christmas break (23rd to 28th) and found some interesting things about my plants and my grow room:



The Pineapple Express was looking the worst for wear. A bit of heat stress and dehydration, and that plant was the furthest from the fans. So probably a lack of air movement at the far end aswell.


The Purple Haze was ok, and had grow to above the lights. A bit of LST there.


The Acid probably fared the best. Closest to the fans.

So thinking of starting 1 or 2 of the fans. I have 6 in total and only 3 going at the moment.

A bit of a drink...and nitrogen boost should get them back on track.


Right, so was expecting to come back to some sad looking clones. but was pleasantly surprised that they were quite perky considering the jiffy pellets were bone dry. I had a bit of a pull on one and notcied the white nubs that i assume are the start of roots on the bottom of the stems. A water with fulvic acid and humate and Mycorrcin plus and hopefully they will continue on their progressive ways....?!

I actually attribute the Fulvic for them still being 'alive'.



Nothing a fresh 'cup' of tea cant fix....

I forgot to add that there is NO WAY that i could have gone away for 5 days using another type of lighting other then LED and come back to my plants and cuttings in the pretty good condition that they were in. (unless i had a timer drip watering do-wacky system.)

So having a look at the 'Pineapple Express' and it isnt looking the flashest. Thought i would keep it local and not post in the pest and problems section.

I think it is looking better then it did. The leaves arent as curled.

I thought it was a Nitrogen toxicity, but the leaves arent dark green so i dont think it is that.

Or it was just extreme dehydration from being away?

I have increased air movement in the enclosure now.

The 'Acid' and 'Purple Haze' look fine, so i dont think it is a PH problem.

Any ideas?

Quick update: The 'Pineapple express' is recovering now. Turns out it just missed me more then the others. (im glad it wasnt root bound or anything more serious)



So after a dose of compost tea yesterday, increased airflow, and aerated water mistings, it seems to be coming right.
