Day 36 Flower

Things are starting to take shape now, still battling PM here and there but Milk is my savoir now that I know I can use it on everything throughout flower, I'll just quit a week before harvest or so. It's amazing, really it is considering I don't need to special order or purchase it. Nothing else has really gotten my issues solved and baking soda although works pretty well seems to be a bit harsh on the pistils and such. Worked pretty well on leafy areas though.

Do these buds look normal/average size for 36 Days of flower under 600W lights? I just don't know how my growth rate is looking as it's been years and never with decent equipment before. I know a couple of my plants are in rougher shape (don't see them too much in the video really ha) and those ones seem to be a bit behind, they also seem a bit more Sativa like (which doesn't match too much to what I got clone wise) so maybe they will come on later anyway. I think that plant in the back is pretty awesome (that's just one) lots of lower budsites that are chunky as well as those two towering tops.

I honestly have no idea how much all these colas will fill out between the individual buds or not... I want to start guessing yields per plant (for example the SCROG, back plant, and the one up front I spent quite a bit of time on in the video) those ones all look nice to me. Hoping I can get a few ounces off of them but not really sure at all what is realistic judging by how they look now with a few weeks to go. Any opinions, input? Guesstimates? lol

You can also see the plant in the back isn't lit up super bright... the Metal halide is kind of making it's rounds around the room for a few days at a time but I think I am going to put it back over that one because it's my monster and should get 1200W instead of mainly the 600 from the vert.

Love the hempy method, I need to make improvements for next time (like recirculating, draining back to my res instead of to waste which is quite a pain in the ass) but otherwise It's great... I think next time around will be much better too.

I only have 2 Oscillating fans and one Box Fan blowing up from about 10" above the floor... I want to add more but I am literally out of floor space and haven't bought any wall mountable ones yet. My friend can get me a really good deal on those slick CAP wall mount fans that do all the fluid motion though I might get a few of those for next time around. I am also going to lay everything out different and probably either focus on horizontal SCROGs or just do simple laid out and perpetually added plants a couple at a time so I have more room between them and less chances at fungal issues... My Humidity is actually really quite low and good so I think if I get this under control it shouldn't be much of an issue next time.

Dialing in your environment can be difficult but will make a world of difference. I highly suggest wall mount fans, the larger the better!

Yeah for sure... I think overcrowding is what initially caused it... newbie mistake of having plants like growing together all rain forest style at first until I got a few out of here and did some space control. I'm going to make sure they have way more breathing room or way more lower air circulation next time. Some of these plants may be ready in as little as 2 weeks (some say they're in the 50 day neighborhood) but I am guessing 3 weeks or so more than likely on most of it.

I've never really been clear on the individual plants in this journal, when watching my videos and seeing the images it would be kind of easy to figure this plant in the back is actually 2 plants (1 taller and 1 smaller one) but everything in that box (minus that tiny bit of SCROG) is a single plant. Growing a bit strange due to how I vegged it, when I watch the video or look at my pics it just appears to be 2 different plants next to each other. I really wonder how much this one will yield, there's some crazy lower colas you cant even see that are completely filled pretty much (not much space between them like the mains)

It's about 40" tall if I was to guess, 36" last time I measured a week or so ago.

I am also kind of in a bind here... I really don't know when to start flushing, one of my strains (Third Dimension) is a 7 week strain and I have read the sweet spot is between 49-51 days... if that were true I'd almost be at a point where I should start flushing those very soon... that's 13-14 days from now. I have a problem as I don't know which plants are which because I think they may have been mixed up when I got them (due to characteristics) but honestly don't know I could just be wrong. The other strain I have going on mainly is Wappa which is 55-60 day strain and I could go an extra week before flushing that one. Again... Not sure which is which.

3D is supposed to be Sativa dominant and Wappa 100% indica.. you'd think that would make it simple. I THINK the plants labeled as Wappa are probably the 3D's as they are thinner, lanky, skinny branches that hardly hold themselves up and way less leaves. These I have been led to believe were Wappa the whole time though, also these plants are quite underdeveloped, I am not sure how much these last 2 weeks would pack on especially if I am not feeding. I have only fed the Dry Koolbloom a few times, maybe 4 days or so... wanted to make good use of it but don't wanna flush too late lol.

I was planning on harvesting based on the trichs with my 40x microscope but that doesn't help me on when to start my flush as if I see them turn it's too damn late. I guess I will just figure feed them nutes 2-3 more days and start flushing what I am going to GUESS is the 3D and follow up a week later w/ the Wappa (which might not be the Wappa) If anyone wants to look at that video and guess what is what feel free. (the short plant that looks different from everything else at the end of video is bagseed)

Lots of reading today has me leaning toward not 'flushing' and just backing down the nutes gradually until I eventually give straight water for the last few days only instead of 10-14 days... been reading all kinds of stuff saying that I don't need to do an extensive flush like commonly thought and I am starting to buy into it. I may just try 1 week or less and focus heavily on the dry/cure. I am also going to try water curing some of it but not a lot of it I don't think.

I cant believe it is almost time to start flushing already it seems like not to long ago that you were just starting flowering its kinda felt that way for me to though, when i was in veg it seemed like things were dragging on forever but since I've started flowering the days seem to be flying by, as time is stretching it seems like the differences in our grows are getting bigger and bigger not that they are that similar in the first place but your plants are 12 days ahead of mine and the difference is huge. You of course have many advantages over me like hydro, a hell of a lot more wattage, and a lot of additives, but the difference is just striking i seriously doubt in 12 days that my bud sites will be any where near as massive as yours, i really need to start working on that hempy set up for next round.

Thanks, that makes me feel a little better about everything hearing stuff like that... I did discover (I think I did) ONE of my plants that was next to the hermie earlier on before I removed it may have been pollinated by it. I see on a few bud sites some things that look like they could be seeds to me (like a really swollen calyx but no hairs coming out) something just doesn't look right to me unless that's how fat they're going to start getting. I really have a bad feeling it's polinated though, I am going to look REALLY hard in a little while for any signs of it being a hermie, I don't think it is so it's not going to affect anything else.

I have been hitting these things HARD with milk though, seems to be helping... I use an entire 30oz spray bottle on a single plant just a little while ago... the weight of the milk makes the entire branches sag it's crazy but they seem perfectly fine after it's all soaked in and nothing seems bad about it at all even on the flowers themselves. Love this method as I am not afraid to really soak the crap out of the plant.

The plant that is suspected of being pollinated is growing like a boss though... I mean I am in love with how that plant looks (not even that big, just every single branch is dense as hell... it's very leafy too though, small leaves) I am going to take a video again but it's so much work and I am lazy after re-arranging the room and adding a ton of space (removed shelving unit, hung ballasts in a sloppy way) seems to be way better for air flow now should have done this a month ago but whatever. The hermie plant has such small buds compared to everything else amazing what a week away from the good lights and daily feeding will do.

Day 37 Flower

This video shows a lot of detail on the plant which got pollinated, I would love to be wrong but I am pretty sure that closeup is not what I want to see. That plant is awesome, I love how every branch is going to be a long cola by harvest time... I hope this Liquid & Dry Kool Bloom combo does the trick, will discontinue about a week before the chop probably so I'll only be running it another 5-6 feedings probably and taper down.

It looks like there is a lot more room in there man and the air circulation looks great with all those plants in there bouncing around like crazy hopefully it will help you with combating the PM problem, lol its crazy to think that spraying milk all over your plants is the solution to PM i mean I'm sure you have seen what happens when milk goes bad or sits out its not to pretty lol, either way man glad to hear its working out for you, and let me know how that water cure works out for you I'm going to be using it on my crop when it comes time to harvest.

Yeah the milk thing is funny... it's diluted to 10% Milk 90% Water though so you can't even smell it... my floor is covered with it when I am done and I haven't even be able to smell a faint trace, I did this the past 3 days on different areas even... probably a good full gallon of the mix, I throw a drop or two of dish soap in there as well so maybe that helps.

I wanted the cut these whole plants down for a slower dry but since I want to do an H2o2 bath and give it all a 5-10 minute soak I think I have to do branches as that will not dry off otherwise I am thinking. Kind of sucks, I'd have to harvest the SCROG this way regardless though and I cannot give them a 'dark period' prior to harvest either (well not the SCROG anyway, I can't separate it from the other plants that need to go an extra 10 days. I am thinking the 3D will be ready to chop in a week from now I will just go with what my clone source told me was the 3D, it does look like it has a decent amount of cloudy trichs already anyhow I even saw an amber or two... also see the signs of PM though so a soak is definitely gonna have to happen. I am assuming it's just PM and not 'bud rot' or other type of mold it's clear looking and web like, it's as pretty as the trichomes to be honest... Is that just PM?

I just Milked it again... might hit with H202 spray closer to harvest, switch up from milk... I am sure I'll do Milk a time or two again though.

Thanks about to go shoot a day 41 video, I just fed everything a gallon of straight tap water, and again today just to try and get some of the buildup cleared out. I hate to quit feeding now as it's the final stretch for the 3D... I have at Least 50% cloudy trichs I would say by looking at 1-2 budsites per plant, probably more. Honestly I don't see very many clear but some are only half cloudy and not totally milky. I think this thing might be ready at the sweetspot of 49-51 days (I read that in a grow report) so.. a little over a week and I think these 3 will come down (SCROG, Beast in the back and the one that got polinated) all the rest will remain, I was not sure which strain was which but if I go by the trichs it doesnt matter if I follow the 'general flowering times' anyway.

I'm not using Clearex or Florakleen, anything like that... I also ran out of FloraNectar which would be NICE right now w/ the water but might buy some molasses and dextrose tomorrow and make my own solution, I already have the regular sugar. Still tempted to keep feeding them though, figure 8-9 days til chop I think maybe one more good feeding, hmmm... I can't get over the flush/no-flush debate and make my own decision.

Here's a couple bud shots from 1 3D plant and 1 Wappa plant (as labeled when I got the clones) I have always wondered if it was correct or not but figure if anyone has grown these and can look at the photos to figure if it's right or not. I know Wappa is 55-60 days and I am at 41 so that could be why they're small buds. The 3D could be ready in around a week and has much larger buds, that's kind of helping me feel I am gonna be labeling them correctly just that the Wappa has always seemed kind of 'sativa' looking all scraggly and lanky but that could be the crazy vegging I did (whoops) and I did remove a ton of leaves at one point when they were infected... budsites do not really have any pistil/hair development it's all calyx though they never seem to have grown right for me and all 3 are growing EXACTLY the same as one another so maybe it's just the strain/pheno... I have no idea honestly, waiting to see if anything happens after a few days of flushing maybe they're just unhealthy from my care.

Filenames tell which are which... Someone please verify, I might have to PM Subcool and ask if that's 3D lol, the trichs are developing at a rate that makes me think it's correct.

All 3 of those 'Wappas' just look like crap to me... they must not agree with my methods yet all the 3D plants look great and thriving IMO, my Horizontal SCROG is 3D as well. I took some video but I dunno when I am going to get around to getting it up yet.
