Yeah a lot never rooted. Not sure if those roots well survive in coco now. Also not sure I can get them threaded through a net pot to keep hydroponic

Never heard of it... I would guess it would survive going into coco if given plenty of tlc... you could then take more cuts for your hydro setup. Coco would definitely be less of a ph shift than going to soil... but i have gone from a pretty developed bubbler root mass (not near that big) into soil without losing the plant. TIP: Maximum dose of superthrive when watered in to her new home if you put her in coco... it makes a big difference for me for transplant stress.... i usually see none if i water in with superthrive and the roots stretch right on into their new home quickly.

They make a plastic spray paint primer, no sanding required!

Hydroton does seem better, just for lack of stuff falling in the water.

Well, that's better than none :)

But sucks that it took up that much space.. Any way you could center it, and add another cup?

Was afraid of roots getting in the impeller if out was too close to a plant.

I used a 2 3/4 in hole saw for 3 in cups. Home depot didn't have 2 7/8 I've seen people recommend.

While drilling the lid a had several spots that sent out cracks. One broke out a large chunk. I took a high temp soldering iron and melted the stuff back together. I think it'll be strong enough. I then painted it white top and bottom with the spray paint for plastic. I'll give it some time to cure but I'm so excited I want to just throw it all together now. I'm going to drop seeds in water tonight.

I cut 5 of the 8 holes with no problem. Number 6 broke out. Number 8 broke out a smaller piece.

6.5 - 7 gallons of water for the swc. Will run it with straight water first weekish. Then will start topping off with a jug of certs mixed full strength from then on.

Got the noids earlier when there was a sheriff sitting a block away back in my country neighborhood. Haven't seen a cop out here in years
