I have not heard of anything yet this year, does anyone know if there is going to be a Michigan cannabis cup in 2012?

If not maybe some card holders want to get together to go to a state that is having one and acknowledges out of state cards?

I cannot confirm this either but wouldnt surprise me. I am sure they made high times feel very unwelcome last year.

Yet another move that wasn't thought out very well by Bing, that the city of Detroit should regret for some time.
High Times could and should be helping pass the word throughout Detroit to put decriminalization on this November's ballot.
I do not know of a better way to help Detroit rebound as a city, then being the first place to decriminalize.
Detroit reacted the way they did last year out of ignorance. Detroit will stay the same until everyone is replaced and everything changes.
What a fucking disappoint both Mayor Bing and prissy-assed Charles Pugh have been. I really, truly believed they would each make big-noticable changes.
Shame on them for not giving Fieger a shot at being mayor. Someone with the brains and balls of Fieger, and give them a camera crew. Fuck these little gang banger mother fuckers when they get behind closed doors. Expose every last one of those mother fuckers. Make every last one of those crooked mother fuckers move to Texas.

See Detroit can nose dive for decades, go from one of the best cities in the world, to one of the very worst (in our country anyway). But chase off the Cannabis Cup and that is where I draw the line in the sand. just kidding, does kinda sound like that though.

I've been wanting to size up my work next to a few others. Not even so much for bragging rights as I would love to fall for some new flavors I haven't yet discovered.

In the Amsterdam judges packet they listed another Detroit cup for this year. But after talking to breeder friend's of mine who are in contact with HT regularly, no go this year.

I'm trying to get some other friend's to get a cup together. They made the one in ypsi happen in '10

Jackson County has a strong hold so far, shops are still open all over. Would you folks travel to Jacktown to an event?

I heard that there was no way in fuck they would ever come back to Michigan.
Me too, our great state and city of Detroit SHUT.. THEIR.. ASS.. DOWN., yet they don't have enough manpower to control killers and thieves in that city. Where are their priorities? I'm sure they have heard about this voter passed initiative by now. We're not going away. We're not criminals and we are not drug addicts. We are passionate about a beautiful plant that has countless benefits to mankind.

Most of us relate to cannabis in many different ways besides getting stoned. The buds as an art, like a beautiful flower, the smell and taste as a culinary art, the healing and curing properties. So many things to list but even more important, the countless career opportunities legalization and regulation could open up for thousands of of MI residents and better yet, millions of Americans in a vast range of industrial fields (hemp fiber, oil,) and medical fields (a very long list).

I get the Detroit news daily, it is always a horror story, like Tales from the Crypt. One bad thing after another and I'm talking rapes and murders, the place is crazy and out of control. All they need is The Crypt Keeper narrating the news. Yet, they waste a ton of money and manpower to ruin the famous Cannabis Cup? Who understands this mentality?

I don't know why you guys all think Detroit shut down the cup last year? Only incident was the incredibowls crew got a ticket. They were demonstrating their pipe at the booth. So if smoking weed openly at a vending booth in downtown Detroit is a ticket violation, I think it's still cool enough to hold them cup there. I've talked to the incredibowls people about it. Wasn't a big deal. I think the real reason they aren't coming back is because dispensaries pulled out when HT started ignoring them after they decided not to have booth for $2k. The competition was super thin out here due to that. I've smoked the cup winning strains a few times. Garbage compared to most herb in town.

Don't be fooled it's not the people, it's not the police, it's not the herb, it's the $ keeping the cup out of Michigan. Fact.

Occupy Detroit Zombie Cannabis Cup, biggest cannabis cup ever. Cryptkeeper Emcee.
Think about how popular that freaky holloween party is that Detroit sponsors? If we work with this theme, we can get $42.00 a head from them zombie lovers. bloody t-shirt and rolling papers with admission. I grant organ sizers permission to steal this idea.
