hazey grapes

i love C99. it was the first strain i ever grew to completion and even bred for too. i had joey weed's version which was very low odor and a little grapey/fruity like a haze under the halide in the pic below. most of the plants, especially the taller ones were C99. the buzz from JW's version leaned more towards clear headed and motivational along the lines of kali mist. it's not the best strain for relaxing on, but great for activities and JW's version was just a 45 day strain making it a virtual cash cropper, only that doesn't smell like skunk ass or get you tired.
i think apollo 11 is probably a better strain. it's supposed to be mellower and trippier. sadly, it appears thatit will be some time before bodhi replaces his stolen clone. that's at the top of my shopping list, but i DID hit everything in my last grow up with JW's C99 xA11 before that vanished last year including this super cali haze x C99 that turned out nice and fruity.
i called her "fruity booty".
i REALLY have high hopes for sativa trans-love x (C99 x A11). the STL is a wicked fast flowering strain that finishes slower than C99 maybe, but when fruity booty was just starting to flower here, STL was budding and leaving everything in the dust except my little skunk kush autos. the speedy flowering of STL combined with the fast finishing of C99 & A11 should produce something nice for indoor grows and be reasonably fruity. that's the start of my own personal "cash cropper" holy grail, but trippy ass jack's cleaner 2 is at the top of my "quality control" grow. that crossed with crazy potent haze skunk should be really nice.
it's cool to see at least SOME people out there are growing gear other than same old same old stoner bud just in novel new flavors. C99 is a great strain to smoke, if not just before bed, and about 10,000% better a start for speeding up and shrinking IBLs than afhani as it won't pollute them with funk or stone. i still hope that some of my haze skunk x C99 beans are viable. that should be a really nice strain to smoke as the HS is super potent, reasonably trippy, and has enough stone that it should calm C99 down and the C99 should speed things up and improve the haze skunk's cheesy cigar wrapper taste that isn't a favorite.
i tell ya, if you REALLY want to cross C99 with a nice haze, DNA's sweet haze is clearly above average and makes nice fruity sticky juicy buds. i bet the cross would be even better than with super cali haze as i think it's a faster finisher, if a little bit stretchy. i can't wait to test sweet haze x cindy apollo.
keep the strain alive. it's always hovering close to extinction and was off the market a little while a couple years ago when JW's stock dried up and mosca hadn't jumped in with his potent pineapples. it's a really good strain to stem the tide of afghani knockoffs.
to the person that loves C99, some day, try kali mist. it's a 17 week strain, but it's even better, though FORGET even thinking about sitting down on that one
jack's cleaner 2 x cindy apollo ought to be some crazy fun shit and then some too. at just 9 weeks for the JC2 with a super nice trippy high, it should be way better than skunk #1 ever dreamed of being and low odor too.
i also have malawi x cindy apollo too that i'm eager to test drive. i can't think of a much better combo if the malawi lives up to it's reputation
