That didn't look like a crappie but I wasn't sure cause fish tend to look a little different in different areas. That's a good size bluegill, I bet you there's some monster bass in there if the bluegill get that big. You catch any big bass there besides the occasional 18-20 incher?

i caught 4 fish over 4 pounds today. they get 12+ in the lake i'm fishing in. i had a few follow my swimbait up to the boat, i just haven't gotten one to hit it yet.

Well that makes my lake sound like a pond. Biggest bass I've caught out of here in 15 years is around 6 pounds at 24 inches, of course the lake is not even a half mile wide or long and I've caught hundreds if not thousands of bass out of here so can't expect many monsters. Nowadays its starting to get outfished so I've been going river fishing as of late. What I would give to catch a 12 lb. plus Bass! Need to move down south is what i need to do, or fish bigger lakes.

Nice fish.Must be some good clean water, the colors on the fish are great, very healthy lookin fish.

A large mouf, small mouf and a fat ass bream........fresh water slam?

A bucket full of those bream and some ones tummy would be mighty happy.

i think i may finally have my boat all dialed in. still need to make a test drive to be sure i got everything. it just spent the last 3 weeks in the shop. i have a jack plate on my transom and was having some issues with it. my motor was mounted all funky. took it to a new mechanic and he went over everything. tuned it all up, again. i still have yet to start it though.

i went to pick it up earlier in the week and it was parked out front waiting for me. i went in and paid and we then walked out to look at what was done. the motor was leaning off to the side and he jumped in to straighten it out. it wouldn't turn. the steering cable broke in his parking lot. lucky for me. it could have been pretty crazy had it have happened at full throttle. so he pulled it back in and replaced my cable with an upgraded version.

i climbed under the dash earlier and ripped out a rats nest of old wiring. got it down to what i actually need at the moment. i will slowly rewire it as i add accessories. if i ever do.

it's a boat. there is nothing to wire. the ignition, tachometer and warning lights are all part of the motor control box. they are wired from the harness that comes from the throttle box. all those wires are solid and need not be messed with. everything else goes under the dash. all i have at this point is my bilge pump and 2 running lights.

i have 2 livewell pumps that need to be rewired. i may add a fish finder down the road. other then that, there's not much more there to worry about.

pump and lights wired, new steering cable, jack plate rebuilt, motor tuned to race mode, ...

hit 55mph at 3/4 throttle on a glassy plane.

hooked one fish, about a 4 pounder, and dropped it at the boat yesterday. got it on a crankbait and it was barely hooked. didn't want to reach down into that mess of hooks, and i played it kinda rough to begin with. i was gonna lift her in but she shook off. charging the batteries and heading back today. :eyesmoke:
