It's All The Tea Party's Fault!!!

How many years did the dems have a supermajority and not produce a budget?

And BTW, FUCK S&P!!!
Out of all the finger pointing done in the credit crunch, the ones who gave subprime paper AAA ratings is still holding the cards unscathed. If there is anyone who needs regulation, it is the bond and debt rating agencies.
How quickly and conveniently we forget the filibustering and constant blockage by the GOP that has gone on for the last two years. Yep. Let's erase the facts AND history and manufacture our own truths.

I don't even care about the tea party, but using them as a sole scapegoat is blameshifting. They should all hang their heads in shame.

This is wholly innaccurate; Our debt to gdp ratio is much lower than 130%.

In fact, the CBO estimates our Debt to GDP ratio to be 69% this year and the figures that S&P were using estimated that 4 trillion in cuts would stabilize our debt at 73% in a decade; that was the benchmark...
Well, according to the Treasury Department, immediately after signing the Debt agreement the U.S. borrowed an additional $238 billion to reach 100% of GDP.

Those are Treasury Department figures using their data. Not a CBO ESTIMATE.

http://news.yahoo.com/us-aaa-rating-still-under-threat-204040123.html

Even so, I believe Treasury is low-balling the actual debt-to-GDP ratio.

My number comes from James Fitzgibbon, head of the Highlander Fund.

He estimates actual debt to GDP at 135%. He's not CBO. He is a private fund manager. He has no government job to protect by offering padded, err... adjusted numbers.

Nor is he required by law to use manufactured numbers supplied by Congress.

I see.. it's o.k. to blame the Dems (your previous post) but when I blame the ACTUAL culprits you claim blameshifting. Really?

Who was blaming the tea party, again? Right the dems. Why? To cover up their piss poor managment and general retardation.
It was an example pissy panda. I don't think anyone is blameless including the tea party.

I forgot hardline liberals are without fault ...my bad. Jedi master finger pointers

I blame the entire GOP including the Tea Baggers. Just because you don't agree with that doesn't make it any less true. Open your eyes. The GOP would rather fuck up this country than let O'Bama succeed.

Obama did succeed.

He got his Stimulus.

He got MessiahCare.

Government spending has increased to nearly 25% of GDP since the Chosen One assumed office. That's up from the historical rate of 19%. Add the cost of the Stimulus, and the spending not covered by revenues; VERY soon you exceed 100% of GDP.

To all those who believe the Tea Party caused the S&P downgrade

NOW we're fucked.

Thanks ALOT, Democrats!

Obama did succeed.
Where he could. The Republicans blocked him every chance they had.

He got his Stimulus.
What he could. The Rethugs blocked and weakened that bill as much as they could.

He got MessiahCare.
He got a lot of what he wanted but ONCE AGAIN, the Rethugs did everything they could to sabotage it.

Spin it all you want but peering around every corner and from under every rug is the Republican Obstructionist agenda.

You blame so it must be true. Says the guy with a donkey cock in his mouth.

Obama's failure is because of Obama. But, of course, not taking responsibility is kinda the MO...you know mas enititlement, blaming others, ect.

American politics has nothing to do with common sense. Just consituents and their respective parties having mutual jerk off sessions and "winning" instead of doing what's best for the country. You are RIGHT. YOU and your "SIDE". I have one negative thing to say regarding the title of the post and of course...I'm a die hard "OTHER SIDE".

I think you need to wake up and quit buying the snake oil

Yeah S&P basically blamed the whole shebang for the downgrade, never mentions the tea party.

S&P said:
The downgrade reflects our opinion that the fiscal consolidation plan that Congress and the Administration recently agreed to falls short of what, in our view, would be necessary to stabilize the government's medium-term debt dynamics. More broadly, the downgrade reflects our view that the effectiveness, stability, and predictability of American policymaking and political institutions have weakened at a time of ongoing fiscal and economic challenges to a degree more than we envisioned when we assigned a negative outlook to the rating on April 18, 2011.

But, how oh how, can this be anyone elses fault. I mean how!?!? I thought we could just spend what we wanted, which was the Tea Party's idea and their idea alone right?

Precisely my point. And in true form it's being played out in this thread in all it's glory! I'm going to have a lot of fun here.
