Drown the plants at the end in the dark for a week and don't worry about flushing it works tried it last grow down vs not drown the drown weed tasted better and smoked smoother

Yes it does save on nutes, but you are in effect starving your plant and causing it to "eat" itself as lower growth will die off to give priority to top growth.

The only noticeable difference in smoking that i found is pre-curing, after a good cure everything is fine.

I agree that some of the reasons other people flush, are people just trying to cheat the cure. Or cure for a shorter time, but I'm still gonna cure for at least a month.
@3eyes I'm gonna drown a few of the plants I got left but I'm not sure when to start. How long did you drown for?

All the plants i drowned we're done for 1 week in the dark then chopped and hung in the dark for almost 2 weeks temp between 15-20C R/H was 50-60% with a circulating fan running, it was the 1st time i tried it and yes i will do it again but the next time i will do all of them as the smoke is smooth, i opened 1 of my jars last night for the 1 st time in 5 days and the smell was just wicked it just keeps getting better and better

I'll take your word for it. I have four plants left that I'll drown based on your glowing report.
So if something goes wrong I'm blaming it all on you. No pressure.
lol jk

Hang out dude, I feel the same way. I'm not trying to have a debate about flushing.
If you notice, I was trying to avoid the debate cause like you I've heard all the arguments and ideas and pseudo-science and forum chatter on not flushing also. My mentor is and old school commercial hydro grower who swears by flushing, and he grows the bomb.
The root drowning idea is an old hippie idea that's supposed to jump-start the curing process early by starving the plant of oxygen. I guess by the time you cut the plant down and finish drying it, it's supposed to taste like it's been cured for weeks.
It's just something I wanna try. Doesn't change how I feel about flushing. In fact drowning is a form of flushing cause it leeches everything out of the soil and the plant imo.

Today I decided to act on an idea I've been playing with about moving the grow into my spare bathroom. It's next to the closet it was in before. I didn't like the way things were going in the closet. The final straw was when I got the humidifier. After I saw how much better the dry was going with the humidity and reading another guy's thread about how the same strain yielded more in a more humid environment. The RH was too low in the closet anyways.
The only problem now is that the bud are drying the same room as the grow so I'll have to find a way to shield the drying buds from the light. Here's the new space. Grow already looks more legitimate lol.

Cleaning the bathroom was the hardest part. I'm a single male so yeah, my bathroom was a festering stink-hole, and yeah it took me like a week to clean it all. lol
