Looks really nice. How do you have your co2 setup? I have been looking into different ways and don't know how the bottle setup works really.
Thanks man, this is the simplest bottled set up. The regulator has a single tube that I have split into two and then place into the back of a couple fans..I'll post a pic or two...The regulator is on an analog timer set to run on for 15mins then off for15mins during the on light cycle. But that depends on variables like room size and how sealed it is. They have digital controllers but this is much cheaper and works well.....

I think you'll be far better off either choosing mass airflow or co2 supplementation...but mixing the 2 is just throwing money out the vent.
Thats a great looking grow cabinet! I'm sub'd to watch you do your thing. :)

Right, thanks....

Whoa!!!

Is that the same armoire from the chronicles of narnia?

LOL..I need the white witch to cool it down a little....

Looks like you outgrew the cabinet. sweet
No, just added another.............

Sorry, a little late for the show, what was the dry weight on the 400 before and after co2 if you dont mind me asking?

You inspire me btw... keep it up

Thanks man, its a work in progress...Those two runs were in my old cab under a 250w hps. Running hydro DWC, not soil, 9 zips dry with out , all gassed up13 zips dry and in the jars. It was really dialed in....I got about 9 my test run in soil under the 400, but I had bugs and heat issues late in flower so not a very good test at all really....but hopefully showed me what info I needed...

Wow, my last grow (my first with hids) the temps were out of control at over 100f. I got 2 ozs off those scary looking plants. I also tried dwc and had root rot within 10 days, not sure what went wrong, one day the roots were white and shiny, the next they look like a mass of this clear jelly like substance, then died a few days later. Ima get a green thumb, even if i have to use a green sharpie. Sorry for the babbling... Ill be watching ;]

Hey Bro,do you want to be called Catfish or Billy? sorry to hear that though, heat is a tough nut to crack. You should be good when you get your air flow figured out... Your res water temps got above mid 70's F that's when everything go's to shit in a res....I have a little help with the white buckets....in the summer I have to use every trick I know to keep temps in line....and jumping up to a 600 was crazy in mid summer...lol

Fuck heat! I'm in the desert, I run my AC 24/7 to make sure my plants dont die.
But then again the electricity bill was like 160$ this month.....

Hi Mr.Natural, I am interested to know how you have rigged up your Co2? I have a simerlar cab..(Pictured below).. However, from what I can make out its best to run Co2 with the lights on! and with the lights on, the lights need cooling, and to cool the lights the In-line fan has to be on which means the Co2 would escape.. So how'd you manage it ??

Be interesting as well as helpful, cheers - STELTHY :leaf:

So I had a bit of drama with the upgraded 600. Turns out dying battery in the digital thermometer was giving false readings and my temps were really at 100F!! I was lucky I double checked with a old mercury thermometer...I had one hanging right there just forgot to check it.I needed another fan and filter anyway, so upgraded to 6 inch. Had to get the hood as high as it can go, so moved the fan to outside the cab, much bigger than the 4" anyway and sealed up the cab.
The cab had a hole in the back when I bought it so I just cut through the mylar and made an intake there. Ran 6" ducting and drawing fresh air through the hood has dropped the temps to mid 80's...I have become an expert at taking temp readings...lol
Not real happy with the fan where its at but I'm going to run with it like this for a little while. It's a little noisy and I think I can get it back in the cab in right front of the exhaust port...but not today.....I ran out of 6" hose and clamps, had to make do with the 4" I had from before to route the hot air away from the cab.....
I have turned the Co2 tank on and at mid 80's I'm good to go!!Running co2 at 2000ppm and nice and sealed. At 15 mins after the tank cycles off I'm still at around 1300ppm.

So I should be able to focus back to my ladies and help them blow up!! It's past time to clean up the lower growth...

Out is in and inside is out....

I can still bring it up about 10 more inches

Had to tape in the old 4" until I get more 6" hose.....ugly but working

Dankness

If you look close you can see the clear line from the co2 tank going to the back of the fan I let spray just under the canopy....

Another fan another co2 line, this one just on top of the canopy....

Pretty even canopy so far!!

And the whole enchilada!!!

PEACE

Since i have nothing in the flowering room at the moment, might finish veging under the hps, thinking of a 2 plant scrog. At first i decided that i was going to do a 12+ plant sog, but its only logical that if i had 2 plants, i can keep a good eye on both... less soil = less water (distilled) = less nutes = less money and maintenance. also around the same yield or more. Keep two strong mothers, Have clones ready for next cycle. (or take 2 cuttings, and scrog the mothers each cycle) What do you think?

I feel like you are being very thorough, I likes that! The less maintenance/ less work argument is very sound. Doesn't really matter how many plants you have, the canopy coverage is important and you can get a lot out of 1-2 plants in a SCRoG.

Run them all and cull out what you dont want or need....I culled out a VK runt the other day leaving me at 7......might be more to follow its up to them....

Aight, so I dont think I'm going to put up a screen. I'm just going to start supercropping for fun !!!
For those of us who have a limited amount of height this technique is a must to master....
Its a little scary for the neub grower but .......a gentle pinch and bending of the stem to make a 90 degree turn without breaking it outright....buy doing this it not only will keep them away from the heat of the lamp but.....it will increase potency through stress....crazy, but all too true.....

An even canopy will really increase yield so here's some picks and :

Welcome to the torture show!!! Lets see if they make it!!! Mawhahahahaha!!!

Here's our bitch sticking her head up!! It's the Jack The Ripper!

After a little pinching and bending we have this

Gentle pinching is the key to not snapping the stem!!

This is what it should look like, looks harder than it is....

I think of supercropping like this, try to break a glass tube inside of a paper tube without ripping the papper and bend.

looks nice though, you got more balls than me to supercrop. I think it's more of a first time grower thing to not want to do anything to harm your plants, cause of being unsure.
I didnt even want to LST my plants hahaha!

LOL....that's it you got it... naw it's not that bad, just don't sneeze!! But after yesterday's daily stretch I realized they are out of control. The supercroping is like a too small band-aid. So I trimmed off the lower growth, and put in the screen....
At the rate they are going I'm going to have to run every trick I know and fight heat as well as height. Its all right, new cab and I have the time right now....
So its all good.....
I'll post some pics a little later.....

It was always the plan to push it hard and cut out the over growth. One of the advantages of a cab over a tent is being able to use the sides to hang things....Like a scrog screen....

I got back 12 much needed inches....

I'll live with the hose here for this run...The Violator Kush looks like she likes the screen...

This is the Jack The Ripper that I supercroped.....I'll have to lst them before its over....The screen will only slow them down but it gives me a grid to tie them down when necessary...

I'll have better air flow at least below the screen.....They look like they are on circus stilts.....

Natural.. im not sure if its in your thread.. but how do you keep your water temps down? Or do you at all.. just curious because its a concern of mine and the reason I havent started my hydro yet.. my room temps are about 78-82.. all the time right now because its a 100+ outside.. So with no real cool period I am worried about the water temp getting too high.. I was just gonna wait till summer was over .. but maybe you know how to control it? I was gonna just keep frozen water bottles in the freezer and put one in here and there.. but it seems like it will be a pain in the ass when I have all the other girls to take care of.. let me know what your doing or experiences with water temp.. if you get time.

Thanks Dude, it was painful to see them stretching so fast from the heat. I got my fingers crossed the temps dont get any higher...I'm just on that thin edge of overheating.......
