All drugs should be legal. All drugs.
Same thing goes for gambling and prostitution.
Actions like theft and murder are wrong in and of themselves (mala in se), the state is justified in prohibiting them.
However, acts which are illegal based on morality (mala prohibita), should not be illegal. It is not the business of the state to legislate morality.
If someone chooses to throw their life away, it is their business.
Many activities/substances are addictive and not all of them fall in the category of drugs.

At this point I must offer an apology to the OP and members of the board not named Orca. My name has once again been evoked in a thread I had noting to do with and it is getting to be a nuisance.
So, non-Orca members, please disregard the following bit of housekeeping.
I never said I hated you as you claimed. The original post has been 'magically' deleted now so that point is moot.
In that same 'magically' deleted post, you stated the fact that you were 'hated' did not phase you one bit, or something like that. If you are not affected, WHY ALL THIS DRAMA?
Now you claim I 'admitted' I do not like you. I never said I do not like you, Orca.
In fact, most of my statements made in reference to you were actually directed at your whiny threads/posts. I do not recall making any statement which stated, blatantly or otherwise, how I felt about YOU personally either way.
Please present the evidence where I said I do not like you. And kindly spare the other members in THIS thread and do it in the APPROPRIATE thread; the one where the alleged 'do not like you' statement occurred.
And for god's sake, please do not start ANOTHER thread pissing and moaning about THIS post.

Drugs are drugs. There is nothing inherently good or bad about the substance themselves. It is the addictive behavior which is destructive.
Some are addicted to the internet. World of Warcraft is very destructive if one allows it to be the center of one's life. For others, it is just a game.
Some are addicted to television.
Some are addicted to nasal spray.
Some are addicted to attention and needless drama.

I think that it's stupid how the United States is claiming that they're "Protecting Us" from criminals by having the war on drugs and yet they go behind EVERYONES back and sell guns and weapons straight to the cartels. All the war on drugs is doing in our home country is "Protecting Us" by putting someone in jail for just using one of the things they think is wrong. I'm not a Naturalist, but I don't think that one human should be able to tell the other what to do, but in all likeness the two humans should be mentally correct in the way as to not try to push their opinions on others... in a perfect world....

if there were legal places for people to get their drugs OTHER than cartels it would be better. Not saying it's good to be an addict or to do synthetic drugs, just saying that it would help stop all of the violence and it would help stop all of the drug money from getting into the hands of sadistic drug lords....
But seriously, I think they should end prohibition, Either all "drugs" are illegal (weed, tobacco, alcohol, coke, meth, etc...) or all drugs should be legal.(I know so many people that blow up in my face because I say that, but it's an opinion)
Now the only problem I can see with that would be the addicts who would in fact screw up their life just because of a drug, but in my opinion, if it weren't illegal the police and the public might be more willing to lend a helping hand, we would be able to help a lot more people because they could open up without having to worry about the consequences(forced Re-Hab, jail, and possibly prison) of a life choice that effects their PERSONAL health and EMOTIONALLY will hurt anyone close to them.... No one should be able to have jurisdiction over something that doesn't PHYSICALLY effect one or more peoples in this world that is not that person specifically. I mean if some rich guy wants to go blow his money on heroin thats fine, but if he has a kid a wife and responsibilities than I think it should be either no drug usage, or a controlled and monitored usage so that he doesn't screw over his entire family.
Divergent: I think it's weird how society calls TRUE addicts selfish, I mean sure they're thinking for themselves only, but that's not their choice when their that far in, they NEED it and they can't live without it, and because no one in society wants to admit that there is no morally wrong or right because it all comes down to opinion and personal thoughts.(sorry if I'm sounding like a naturalist again) they join the mob and start jeering at us because they need to find a way to escape their ever so dull ephemeral lifestyle
