Women serve, but they cannot sign up for combat arms specialties.

Which means that although they can possibly, and are exposed to combat, it is not their job.

I don't get it, whats the big deal with being able to openly express your sexuality in the military? Homosexuality has been and always will be around, it's just never been openly accepted until recently. Why? Because if homosexuality was normal the species would become extinct within a few generations.

Now, that being said. Gay people should not be discriminated against for not being normal.

If you're referring to his post saying that you can now join the military, I think it was just a jab. Nobody thinks you're gay. But if he had said something like "Johnny, you are a disgusting, flaming, knob goblin, and I hope you burn in hell!" then yeah I'd have a problem with that.
