fml.... so you are using a 600w HPS or a 600w metal halide? or you can use hps bulbs in a metal halide ballast? what....600watt metal halide 600 watt high pressure sodium <--- bulbs
but the light source isn't metal halide then right. it's hps. I just thought that they were two completely different thingsdigital ballast are interchangable...
yeah, just read a couple pages of hps vs mh and mh got severely ripped apart verbally.the bulb makes the difference...digital ballast can take both MH & HPS of similar wattages. However, there are the analog ballasts that are not, I happen to have a MH ballast and light set up for veg and a digital ballast with HPS for flower...if I wanted to I could get another MH bulb and flower with that...but I will take the extra 20K lumens and stay HPS.
that is a thick trunk.... lol why so big. does the strain really make a big difference? or did you really exercise that thing ( the buds that I think will form from that are going to be sick). I like the experiment thought. that's the type of shit I like to see.View attachment 1334763View attachment 1334762here is my super lemon haze which is finally lookin like she's takin, then a white widow that i supercropped. im gunna supercroppthe fuck outta every shoot that forms off that bitch. we'll see what happens
105,000 correctionmy hps is like 95,000 lumens , then my mh is like 105,00 O.O
my intentions for the slh clone is for it to be my bonsai mother , it will be an interesting centerpiece, maybe i could put it under a chandalier filled with incandescents when it is old enough , lolthat is a thick trunk.... lol why so big. does the strain really make a big difference? or did you really exercise that thing.
A good light is worth it. I have spent a lot of time and money on my op, but it has been worth every penny (even the mistake-buys because of the experience gained).yeah, just read a couple pages of hps vs mh and mh got severely ripped apart verbally.
god damn, the ballast are really expensive... I should ask for one for x-mas... lol, that would blow the operation and I haven't gotten a gift from anyone for x-mas in 4 years that wasn't a girfriend
how was your 1st indoor grow? did you win?A good light is worth it. I have spent a lot of time and money on my op, but it has been worth every penny (even the mistake-buys because of the experience gained).
I paid very close attention to fundamentals for my first year growing...now the last couple have been playing around and finding what works, whats easier, etc...to tell you the truth, once you create the right environment, nutes and strains become secondary factors imo...
