wow so if u crash your car does your insurance pee test u? or just employe insurance your talking about?
Fuck i went to my car one lunch a few yrs ago, smoked a few bongs, got out and wiped out on the fresh ice by the front door, hurt my ass like hell,
so off i go to the hospital to get looked at, the doctor looked at the black bruise on my ass, and said take the rest of the week off, paid.
Had their been a pee test, wow that would have sucked!! Ya canada is awesome my interview it at Tim Hortons, they pay 14 hourly to start plus benefits, no pee test.
Ya its a huge step down for me with my experience but my man makes really good cash and its just a survival job. I just moved 6 weeks ago out of Toronto into the sticks, so i know i wont be making my reg 45-50 g yearly like before. But i like my life better now. Keep it simple

This job will put me up a notch though, so I'm grateful as shit.

wow are wages really that much lower ? I've never had a job that paid under 32k well until now lol. Gotta give props to all the moms and dads out there making it work !! i thought it was tuff around here. Low income around here is under 25k
whats minimum wage ? its 10.20$ here but i'm bilingual , i have a french diploma so i push for 14 hourly to start.
But with no post secondary, i'm in a pickle- over qualified for most local jobs, but the jobs i want require certifcates!! or post secondary.
So i'd rather take a good paying job making coffee and hope i get management position when i prove myself. Save some money, upgrade my education and keep on truckin

Holly shit april 10.20 minimum wage its 8.55 here in washington...your minimum wage is higher than my union wage as a nurse! And glad to hear it worked out gogrow

8.55 wow thats nuts!! people need to survive!! My aunt is also a nuse but makes double that. (sorry) She did the traveling nurse thing, did contracts all over the USA for about 10 years, she's back in Canada now, said the pay is much better. But Honestly the type of work u do deserves 25$ hr as far as i'm concerned, thanks for all u do rene112388.

Haha well its tough but I am a low level nurse so I take what I can get last year I worked 4 jobs almost the whole year and barely broke 30k! That's crazy the difference in wages I get 9.50 at my other job small business can't pay much but perks are awesome and the families always get us gifts like yesterday a family got us all 30min massages! Was great...and thanks april this work is a lot harder than people think!

yeah.... that's fucking crazy compared to here.... min. wage is 7.55 in my state, and if you are a server/waitress, they can go as low as 2.55hr. and they justify it by saying you'll make plenty in tips...
my wife just took a cashier job, and much like you, she feels its beneath her, but better than nothing... they stared her higher out b/c she's got a great work history, and at better pay, so they started her out at a whopping 8.35hr.... canada sounds enticing now.

wow i'm alot better off then i thought. My unemployment paid 25k this yr alone, ya i rode that gravy train all the way to end lmfao but i paid for it, i made over 35k for 7 yrs.
Now see today i learned something, to appreciate what i have, could be worse...
It just feels weird telling people your working at a place u ate at for so many yrs, but its better then saying i'm not working. I and others have high expectations from me because of my past experience. But and open can can lead to anywhere, fingers crossed i get it, i also need to accept that living in the country i don't have as many work options, when they come along i will take it. I've applied everywhere from bank teller, post office, translating for the MPP etc. And its only been 4 weeks since i started my hunt.
Fuck my sweater sleeve smells funny...

First off i kicked ass in my interview!! even had a customers 2 yr old son blowing me kisses !! should know by tomorrow, 2 shifts available 10 pm- 6 am yuck and 2pm - 10 pm perfect for me!! 1/8 ?? lol u guys distribute weed in weird quantities, so 60$ for 3.5? sorry i'm a little confused, i always buy a 1/2 oz or oz, i pay 100$ half or 200$ oz (if i have to buy) and its always top notch stuff. One bong gets u buzzed ( and i use a very small one hitter pull thru) a few more and i'm fried. So 0.5 gets me fried!!! i guess its another perk of paradise, i mean Canada?! hehehe
