Ok so I was trying to top the main stem down and I accidentally SNAPPED IT, about 2 nodes from the top.. it was dangling at first but it came off completely.. I taped it together and I have it splinted with 2 bamboo stakes. Is this gonna work? Should I just take it off?
This really sucks because I was gonna put it into flower on Monday and now I'm not sure what I should do.. haven't seen any male preflowers but now I'm afraid it's gonna hermie on me.. and I don't want my other plant getting pollinated accidentally.. advice PLEASE?!?!

Go ahead and take it down. If the stalk is broken completely there is no way the plant will be able to regenerate tissue to reconnect it. You have more or less topped the plant, and I highly doubt it will hermie from that. You might need to let it veg a little longer to fill out, but you don't have anything to worry about.

Should be fine I recently did that to one of my babies and vegged it longer because of doing so but it its a trooper doing well and in flower now no signs of it being a hermie

So did you attempt to reconnect the broken off part or did you just throw it away?

You could still clone it. It won't be huge, but if it has roots when you switch to 12/12 it will give you bud. If you haven't tried cloning yet this would be a great chance to get practice.

Cool.. thanks for the advice.. so you said I more or less topped it accidentally.. so is there gonna be new growth at the place where it snapped off? should I just let it keep vegging for a while? how long?

Not a problem man, you will be surprised to learn how durable these plants are. The plant grows from the tops, so growth at the break will more or less stop. The plant will focus new growth on the new top (the next node below the break). As far as vegging the plant, that is up to you and how much space you have. The longer the plant grows, the more bud sites you will have. It will take a couple of weeks for the roots to sprout from the clone, so I would just wait until it develops roots, then flower the bunch. Good luck with the grow bigdog.

The splint will be fine (leave it on). The branch will heal and repair itself and no chance of hermieing the broken female or your other female/s.
Stop stressing to much.
(good luck).

Yes.. completely snapped off
Yeah, it probably won't heal itself. Just get some rooting hormone like rootone or something like it. You can even clone without any rooting gel or powder. Sorry about your plant but shit happens to us all from time to time.:blsmoke:
