Pablo's Socal Balcony Grow

I just did a thorough examination of the Easyryders and, sure enough, the moths have laid their eggs. I removed all I could find. Now I know they can make their appearance as early as May. Got some pics of the tiny white eggs - usually on the underside of the leaf. Shouldn't be a problem with these plants, tho. I caught them in time, can't find any damage or any mature worms.

that's the coolest christmas tree I've ever seen.

I wonder if you could give it 24 hours of light indoors to make it a little bigger before finishing,

and put tiny LED christmas lights on it in a string?!?!?!?

it would be so functional

and I'm... medicated.

Sweet Grow!

er... your first grow I mean

but your current ladies are looking great! big for an autoflower, but that's good

can you taste any Ruderalis notes? rougher or grassier?

Hi artofscience, thanks for stopping by. Yeah, these autos can look like little Christmas trees when you clip the main leaves off. Looks cool! I don't have enough experience smoking various strains to have anything to base an opinion on regarding the taste.

Day 66/67 for the Easyryders. They will be harvested before the weekend is over. Probably tomorrow. They appear to look more "done" than last years Easyryder.

Day 11 for the Pakistan Ryder. Everything looks normal. Day 8 for the Top 69. It's staying very close to the dirt. It's not stretching up like my other autos have. Maybe it will just be one of those short, squatty little plants. That could be why nobody ever bothered to post a journal or pics of this strain.

And finally, the Kandy Kush sprouted yesterday. This is the tiniest seedling I've ever seen. Weird.

are you sure that your plants are ready for harvest? 66 days seems to me very little time for they are ready... you don't have any hand microscope? I don't see any bud in there... :S for what a have been reading only wonder women in the perfect conditions are ready in 66 days, all the autos are ready in about 70/75 days... I'm a newb so maybe I'm wrong, but if I were you I will get some info... ; )

Hi G Project, thanks for the comments. I do not have a scope. But, now you've got me wondering if they are ready for harvest. I was under the impression that the 70 day until harvest was just a general guide. It would be impossible to accurately project, down to the exact day, when to harvest. Today is day 67 and 68 respectively, which seems well within the acceptable range for these plants.

This write-up says they are ready for harvest 9 - 10 weeks from germination: http://www.headsite.com/easy-ryder-feminised-seeds-381-p.asp

There is some bud in there, not sure why you're not seeing it. I would agree with you if you said there's not MUCH bud in there. These were started early in the season, have been through colder weather than what is optimal, and as a result will produce less. If there's no bud on an Easyryder at day 68, then it's not an Easyryder or something went horribly wrong.

In any event, thanks for looking out. I'll do a bit more research and check out my plants again before I chop. Cheers.

Pics 1 and 2: Day 68/69 for the Easyryders. After G Project's post, I decided there's no harm in letting them go a few more days.

Pics 3 and 4: Day 13 for the Pakistan Ryder - Looks healthy.

Pics 5 and 6: Day 10 for the Top 69 - Finally coming around.

Pics 7 and 8: Day 3 for the Kandy Kush - Tiny leaves, but it's growing nicely.

Thanks for stopping by. You bet, next time I'll take more side shots. There are some side shots in this journal, but these particular plants don't show well from the side. Because there's not much bud to look at from the side. Cheers.

I should change the title of this thread to simply "Outdoor Balcony Grow" now that the Easyryders are harvested.

Pics 1 and 2: Here's the Pakistan Ryder at day 17
Pics 3 and 4: The Top 69 at day 14
Pics 5 and 6: Kandy Kush at day 7

I watered the Pakistan Ryder and Top 69 last night with a small amount of Grow Big. First time I've used nutes this early in a grow.

Despite only being 3 days apart, the Top 69 is perhaps only 1/2 the size of the Pakistan Ryder.

WIll post spme pics up later or tomorrow on my page!

Cheers!
