Kandy Kush at day 27. I need to start thinking about LST right now. But I also want to top it, so I've got to figure out what the best way to go about it.

I just got back after a week long trip from the East Coast, and will post pics tomorrow.

James, I created a thread here: https://www.rollitup.org/support/336105-can-i-change-name-my.html

Just ask fdd2blk if he'd be kind enough to change it for you. fdd2blk is a mod and has the ability to change the name of a thread.

malaymike: Here's a good thread devoted to autos which I think you'll find helpful: https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/199319-autoflower-thread-resource-guide.html
Do you have any pics of these plants? Is it possible they are males? It isn't unheard of to encounter the occasional glitch in an autoflowering seed. Or, it could be something as dumb as human error - putting the wrong seeds in that packet. I've never had it happen, tho. In any event, I don't think adding a bloom fert will induce flowering in an auto. Best of luck.

Warrentheape: Thank you, and thanks for stopping by. If you start a journal for that himalaya blue diesel, I'll be sure to check it out.

Cheers!
Thanks for the link and advice. The plants are a definite female as they have shown themseves and in the last few days a couple of wispy white spikes have shown themselves at the base of the stem. Does this mean flowering will start soon. Hope so in on day 39. I'll post a couple of photos when the wife brings the camera back from where ever the hell she's taken it too. lol Again thanks for the reply and your plants are looking sweet. On my next grow I think i'll start a grow journal - Time to start those short ryders i think.

Cheers

If the white pistils have already appeared, then it is starting to flower. It will pick up speed shortly. Better late than never! Best of luck.

Everything but the Kandy Kush got watered today. The Top 69 and Pakistan Ryder got a bit of Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom. The Big Devil and Blueberry got straight water. And I LST'd the Kush. And the entire garden got sprayed with Neem.

Apparently, the cat knocked a clay plate onto my Big Devil, smashing it. I found it smashed flat with the plate on top of it this morning. I tied it up. Hopefully it will be fine.

The Big Devil bounced back quickly and is standing on its own now. It and the Blueberry have started flowering. Could have been a day or 2 ago, I haven't been paying that much attention. I topped the Kandy Kush. I left my camera at a friends, hence the lack of pics.

Once the autos have some clearly develped pistils and budding sites how long does it usually take for the bud formation process to begin?

To me, what you described is the beginning of the bud formation process. If you look at my journal, my Pakistan Ryder had pistils at day 21. You can see the bud sites by day 28. Even more so by day 37. Pretty much the same with the Top 69. I guess it depends on what your definition of "bud formation process" is.

All of the autoflowers got watered with a bit of big bloom and tiger bloom. The Pakistan Ryder and Top 69 were sprayed with BT. I topped the Kandy Kush, and need to do some more LST'ing. Still don't have my camera back yet.

And the non-auto: Kandy Kush at day 39. I've tied her down twice and topped once already. I guess I'll try and train it to circle the tomato cage. Unless somebody has a better idea?

Hello James, I think you're right about the indoor vs. outdoor results. Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to manipulate sunlight. I have seen much better results from autos grown indoors.

That's funny you mentioned finding the seed, because I found a seed in some Blue Dream from a local dispensary. It's very pale, no idea if it's viable. Maybe I'll try to germinate it next summer.

Hey man, thanks for stopping by. Your indoor results, among others, were what I was referring to above.

I'll look forward to following your fall grow. With the results you produce, no wonder you don't need to grow again for awhile. Cheers!
