I'm thinking Dance is busy trimming up some plants

ha ha ha! i sure am. that vortex is amazing. i chopped and hung her upside down this morning and just got done doing a quick trim on her bigger leaves. even upside down she has frostiness on the bottom sides of her bud leaves. there's a little pinkness to her color too. pretty cool. she's sticky too. a lovely smell as well.

thanks again all for your advice and support. i'll post some more pix in a week or so when i take them down for the final trim and weighing before they go in the jars.

there's the harvest. vortex in the middle

haven't smoked any yet.

i have to say all the buds are airy and not dense at all.

i don't have much experience at this so maybe you guys can enlighten me.

when i grew the kiwiskunk those buds were nice and fat and dense/heavy so that is what i expect.

is it normal for buds to be lite and airy?

i'm also kind of wondering about having that LED gro light on the side. is it possible that thing encouraged wispy growth?

maybe somebody can tell me i did things OK?

You did things ok . I hear ya....mine were under a 1k and that similiar Vortex pheno of mine, the buds were airy as well. Not much taste or smell but a good high.

i'm still patiently waiting for another week or so to smoke any while the cure is going on. the vortex sure smells nice! the small a-train is nasty smelling - it's just gross! like pungent wet rotten hay with piss on it. i'm almost scared to smoke any of it. the big a-train smells like weed, nothing special or odd about it really.

i'm always a little let down when i finish a grow. i just love growing and spending time with my plants and can't wait to start another one.

thanks man! that was 3 plants and i vegged for a month. (actually i flipped the lights 4 weeks from when i saw the plant poke out of the dirt. i thought veg was from seeds - not after the 2 week seedling stage. correct???? if so i vegged for 2 or 3 weeks!)

i'm always learning...can't wait to start a new grow!

let's see..., i chopped at day 57/58 and i think they were ready for sure.

however! my counts might be wrong. like i said in my previous post i started counting from the day i saw any green popping out of the soil. it seems like some people start counting at 2 weeks after the seedling stage. and maybe cloning has something to do with that count. i've never cloned so i don't know.

really i wish i knew how i'm supposed to count. i'm kinda thinking i vegged way to soon now - at least 2 weeks.

Hey Dance whats up! I'm glad to hear your Vortex has a good smell to it....hopefully that will carry into the taste as well. My shorter indica Vortexs' smell and taste is not very appealing to me and the sativa dom that I kept for myself has a great buzz but no smell and very little taste. I'm realizing that taste and smell have gotten pretty important in my quest for great weed .

Qleaners and Voids start coming down this week.....they look great but again not much smell during flower. Certainly nothing very appealing. Jillybean has a good smell and taste, but I didn't get to sample all that much out of that first run...second round of JB will be done in a couple of weeks.

So what are you smoking these days while your waiting to sample the fruits of your labor lol? Sounds like your Vortex and A-Train are going to have a wonderful cure to them...good job man, you had an awesome grow

Let's see, I still have some of my Kiwiskunk left and I like it. That was good pot - everybody likes it. Nice and skunky and a good taste and stone. Not wimpy but not overpowering either. It'll certainly give you the munchies and throw you on the couch. I also have some bubblehash i made from an autoak47xLR2 cross that really gives me a wired head stone. And I still have some Lowryder2 left I smoke once in a while.

I'm really looking forward to your smoke reports on your subcool strains. And let me tell you why. I couldn't stand it and i grabbed a little bud of the vortex the other night and threw it in the pipe. keep in mind its still not done curing and a bit damp - plus i had a good beer buzz going on. i'll have to try it with a more clear head after it's cured and throw a measured hit in a bong. but the point i'm trying to make is i really didn't feel that it was all that potent. I smoked what was in the bowl and waited and then put another little bud in and smoked that too. don't get me wrong, i certainly was high but i kinda figured this stuff to be one or two hits and i'd be wiped out. And I'm not a regular pot smoker. I'll go a couple of week sometimes before the mood hits me. Other times i'll smoke 2 or 3 times a week. I certainly have not been smoking much lately at all so my tolerance is low.

so for me the verdict is still out on my vortex grow. i liked growing it and loved it's look and stickiness and slight sicky sweet smell but was really expecting a one or two hit high. (plus the seeds were damned expensive!) i'll be sure to keep you posted the next time i smoke some.

the atrain is good! nice smell and taste. better yield than the vortex. good pot. i think the vortex is a bit more potent.. but i think they are both nice weed and well worth growing and smoking.

hi, i'm back and happy to report the vortex is great! i know it's all subjective and i probably should have waited before my first smoke report. sorry! i cleaned the pipe yesterday and took a big one hit and i love the smell and taste of it. it's really sticky too. i got super stoned. love it.

Awesome man, glad to hear it. Don't forget that your pheno was sativa dom, so it's less couchlock and more soaring. Trying some real frosty Void right now for the first time and loving it. Very top notch stuff....I'm impressed.
