First Med Coco Grow - finished

They are just starting to flower now. They are stretching about an inch a day. I guess this is where I see how well I worked the scrog. Each plant has 2-3 main buds and the side shoots are getting a fair amount of light, but the spread in hieght between the side branches and the main branches is getting wider. I am going to have to move my osc fans around to get the entire canopy better. I am thinking about hanging the fans upside down from the ceiling..but not sure about that one yet.

I set up another reservior and gravity fed watering wand to water the veg box. I used a 15 gallon heavy duty plastic trash can. I put a 'T' in the outflow line of the RO filter and another float in the new res. looks like it is gonna work out great. I watered the clones with straight water today, but from now on they will get a light dose of nutes.

On a side note.. I had mentioned a couple of times throughout this thread that I would be growing a freind's ( prop 215 patient) medicine for him. Well I think that plan is out the window. He wanted alot and didn't want to help with any of the funding. It kind of sucks because he is a good friend and I had to tell him the other day that it wasn't working out. He didn't take it well. It is amazing to me how valuable he thought his script was. He wanted me to fund and do all the work and split the yeild. Originally he was going to fund the veg room and lights..well 700 bucks later he is 50 dollars into it and still wants to split the yeild. Not to mention the 4 grand I have into the flower room. I don't need to his portion of the yeild because my set-up is perfect for 12 plants. 18 would have decreased the yeild per plant anyway. OK Sorry for rambling, it just sucks that now are freindship might be damaged.

Here are some pics

people can be difficult sometimes....... plants too ;)...... they will increase their stretch over the next 4 days and then start decreasing, and start nugging up :)....... just make sure that airflow is good under your SCROG, and is being pulled up through the foliage to exit the room or be recycled etc. and watch your RH INSIDE the plants, the way I do it is, if there isn't at least a gram coming out of the branch (in the inner lower growth) the branch is cut off to let that gram + of energy go where it can be put to better use ;), this also helps reduce the chance of mold or rot starting on the lower inside of the plant because it allows for air to move more freely through the dense growth ;)

Nice pics.... Im really looking forward to watching these ladies BEEFen up for you :D

Thanks TLD, but what is "RH" and how do you know which branches will produce a gram+? :)

light exposure, branch growth rate ;).....

RH is Relative Humidity

:dunce:I knew that, I must really be high. Thanks Man for that! When do you make the determination on cutting the slow growers that aren't getting much light? So the idea is, if you cut these little buds off the energy will go to the bigger ones?

that is the idea..... given the plant is otherwise healthy, that it is very early in flower (at latest 3 weeks) to prevent long stunting of flower development, so that it actually has time to heal properly before really going to work on those buds......

would a PERSON build a tree house better with slivers all over their feet? Or after pulling the slivers out and taking it easy for a couple days?

That makes sense..I will take of the small sites when I do my last trim this weekend.
I have another little problem. I was adjusting a fan snapped one of the side branch buds..it was still hanging there so I wrapped some tiolet paper around it with some tape very lightly since it is the top I had to wrap the tap around the base of a fan leaf too to support it. It is standing up straight now. I am not sure if it will heal during flower.. fortunatley it was a side branch, but is 8" above the screen. it is the very top..basically the pre-flower that snapped.

this is when the magic starts happening, stoked to see them buds grow! they're really lookin good

Thanks Bro! I am ready for the show:-P

nice setup man, those ladies grew out pretty dang nicely. looks like you are going to get a good yield out of that.

Thanks mossad! The set-up is a work in progress. lol It seems like every time I think it's complete there is something else to tweak or add. I am in the process of setting up my de-humidifyer right now.

So I am a little high and bored so I thought I would throw up a pic summary of the progress thus far.
I will post some pics tonight with an update when the lights come on, but for now here is the journey so far. bongsmilie

I really like the coco coir, but I don't have anything to compare it to. I use 100% coco. I have grown many of other plants in soil. My house is full of house plants and everyone thinks there fake at first... I have always had a green thumb with veggies too...but anyway, my point is that with coco, you have total control over nutes, holds moisture like a sponge( it can be completely dry and soaks up water completely and evenly), and its easy to flush. Having said that, I am sure everyone has their own medium preference and reasoning why it works best for them. I will contuniue to use coco myself. If it's not broke don't fix it..;-)

haha yea, completely. thanks man. I added some Beastie Bloomz last night, and damn. I've never seen a plant react/grow as fast, I'll have to snap some pics when I get to the garden

Day 15 flower-

These pics are right after the lights came on tonight.:weed:
