From vegitative to flowering to harvest i can use my CFL system right?

My cousin grows in colorado and told my that runing cfl's are'nt enough for flowering, is this true? He runs hps lights but he is legal and a six hundred dollar bill dosn't bother him. Me i have just rent no utilities so a "huge" jump in electricaty is going to be noticed, thats why i chose CFL's low heat low power usage. I realise hps or MH lights are best 4 a plant. I will be runing a 105W cfl bulb that will push 5000 lumens for vegitative and another bulb same states just different spectrum made for flowering, is this enough for a DWC hydro setup? Also i might push out to two later if i feel safe doing so, so will it be hard to grow just one if i use feminized seeds? I mean everything to the system to PH to a PPM meter, nutrient packs, seeds i men ive spent like 600 dollars for a one plant setup that i thought woul run nice... was i wrong?

put up some pix. certain lights produce different light spectrums, some red some blue, you need blue for veg and red for flower

Can you grow bud, yes. Can you grow a lot, no. Enough to keep you in weed? How much do you smoke? Personally I'd veg under the CFL and then switch to a small 150w HPS for flower. My computer draws a heck of a lot more than 150w.

Running a bunch of incandescent bulbs in your living space? Switch to CFL and put those "watts" towards your grow light.

Yeah switch all your other bulb in your house to like 13watt cfls and put like 7 100 waters thats what i use and i dont see a rise in my light bill

yea i bought Stelth Hydros 315 multi spectrum light banks so im only using 315 watts for four plants 17,000 plus lumines and i got the deluxe package so i have a setup for just vegetative and one setup just for flowering. I'll post pics when i get a chance to start my adventure ( out of state right now doing an internship).

Im a hard core CFL weed growing fuck, yeah you can get good results.
I run 80+CFLs for about 20 something plants.

5000 luminens per square foot is a bit of overkill for early veg......5000 total, depending on your room is good.
you need to do a bit more research friend. you can buy a 400watt HPS light for well under 200$.......a few diff sites online at that....check out the luminens required for veg growth.

same setup, only water, superthrive, and molasses

then just yesterday (1 week later)
too much light my ass.

Tell me you think CFLs suck and I'll just tell you you aren't creative enough.

sure there is! if you spend an assload of money on a light that will do for 3+ plants, and you're only growing one, whats the sense? unless you plan on going bigger next time....then we come into the finer details....but i'm the 'right tool for the job' kind of guy...

Some of us HPS isn't as easy to get ahold of or maybe some of us can't have a ups guy knocking on the door

ALSO if one of my many blubs blows no big deal, your HPS blows and your day is fucked.

I bet I use more energy than most HPS setups

I had to wire a 125 amp service panel with 60amps supplied to take care of it all.

Being a noob on here with less than100 point you should be more open minded.
