Bubblelicious Med CFL SOG

ok so i had to clear some lower branches from one of the plant's on the back wall because it was a pain in the ass to get the watering hose to the 2 liter. This resulted in a few straggler buds being removed. I was about to toss them with the rest of the clippings when I decided I would give this strain a pre-mature testing :p lol. I didn't care about drying it since its only 16 days old and surely wouldn't do anything. So i popped it in some paper towel & directly to the microwave. To my amazement these 3 tiny stragglers ended up being a decent sized fatty. Tasted like shit (of course it did it was 16 days old & microwaved rofl) but to my amazement it actually got me stoned, of course after about an hr i was tired as shit. Still pretty comical that a 16 day old flower that was microwaved still got me stoned :p Atleast now i feel confident that this strain will be pretty good smoke when finished.

Nutes reduced to 150% the recommended dosage for the next few days until all tops go single leaves then nutes will be raised back to 350% recommended dosage.

The lighter comparison pic sux, the base of the flower is as wide as the lighter @ day 17. (pic does no justice).

I broke down and tucked a few large fan leaves down into the wire but besides that I have not repositioned any new shoot growth. I may start to reposition flowers when all the tops have begun to produce only single leaves.

My hat goes off to all those that grow with cfl, granted this venture is pretty extreme for the first time I attempt a CFL grow but this will be probably my last. Growth has been great but I can only imagine what these buds would like under a few 1k hps's. Can we say OMG lol.

Also on a side note I will be starting a outside guerrilla grow thread. Images won't be daily but I would like to show what this strain will produce outside & possibly even after this cfl grow I may show what this strain does under a few 1k hid's.

I tried the best I could with this crappy cam to show how many flowering sites there actually are but still can't seem to get a pic that does it justice. Can't go out and get a good camera yet so sorry everyone.

looking beautiful
so far are you impressed with the performance of the cfls compared to your hps
Well i am impressed that they are working as good as they are but the performance is no where near that of a hps :( but over all the cfl's are holding there own :p and would def recommend using them to anyone who cannot afford a hps yet. :)

Today I am going to add 2 more 23w 2700k's into the area. I was going to add a few more 42w but area for more lights is pretty slim in the area i designated for the micro grow :(

I have added 4x 23w 2700k's to the area.

This brings the area's total lumen's to 26400. Area in use is under 2.5sq ft so around 10k lumen's per sq ft.

More info

Right before lights out a few of the lights decided that they were going to be a bitch and fall, luckily i was actually checking the plants at the exact second that the fall occurred, all plants are fine. Light sat on the plants for .5 seconds probably lol. We will see if any burn occurred from less than a second of contact when lights come back on.

Lights will also be re-secured onto Lag screws when lights come on later.
