sog excuse me if this has already been discussed. But its been a while since I visited. I believe when this started the purpose was to lower the temps in the attic outside the grow room. And you were using a/c inside. I would think if the icebox is working so good that it should be used to cool your room down too. Maybe I missed something or am confused, but is the icebox setup helping to cool the inside of the grow room at all?

I started using GH COCOTEK® GROW MAT™, they sell it in 4' long rolls. Cut-to-fit great in my StinkBud based system. They give the roots a place to grab and pull into. it solved my issue of the plants uprooting, or growing so much it pushes the plant and the netcup up or out of the 2"hole. just somthing that has helped my grow out... every lil bit helps.

Also found an amazing lil hashbag/keifbag from ikea you might be interested in... it is collapseable and has an awesome, durable plastic screen, it even has handles. Its a much tighter weave than the screen door mesh i was using to trim on before. all i did to modify it into a hashbag/keifbag was put a large trashbag around it and tuck it into the top. ie the opposite of how you would have your regular trashbag in the can. then trim your mary jane on the top and toss the sugarleafs into the hamper area. it all just accumulates like keif in the bottom trashbag.... im off on a rant, sorry.

Cant wait to hear what you got in the works for that SOGbox... id pay whatever the icebox goes for, for yours easy... makes much more use out of the chiller than the small 6" and 8" versions that they have.

YaK

just some guy
that is fucking BAD ASS!

I'm about to put a split system ductless AC in my op.. wincing at the price, but I'm not going to suffer this summer worrying about temps.

Seems like your attic is going to be cool as a cucumber with all the ingenuity you've been putting into cooling ideas.

I was curious how well that copper coil you did would have worked vs. the radiator. fab job fabbing up the copper, that looked tricky.

Everything you do is neat, clean, and superb.

Much respect man.

you are correct dank, originally i was going to exhaust and cool to outside the attic
i have revised my design and changed to a sealed room configuration,
my icebox will help cooling the main room where the tents reside
the air needed to blow through the tubes and fresh air will be sucked from the main room area, cooled through the icebox and put back in the main room

the AC unit are now for fine tuning temps, inside the individual tents

ALL i can say is WOW, i thought my room and shit was cool, check it out
you got a sweet lil setup going in your garage bra

Thank you brother YaK
my attics heat issue is definitely a non issue at this point,
i was wondering about the same thing myself
i will have to test it out; as soon as i clear room on my to do list ;-)

What do they do sir... electronic illiterate... sorry.
it's a 12v trigger that connects to each one of the switched power strips
this is how the main controller sends his signals to turns the power on or off for connected devices
hence the name trigger

So does that mean you're getting to hook more devices to a single controller? Sorry, not sure I understand completely.
