HEY everyone, I'm a new member to the site and was just wondering what lighting would be best for a seedling that will start with 12/12 from seed to harvest...I was wondering if I should use a 2700k cfl the whole way threw or a 5000k cfl, or any others that would be best for 12/12 from seedling.

Yes I know that I should do 18/6 (daylight 6500k) when vegging and then 12/12 (warm white, or soft white 2700k) while flowering but this is my first grow and I'm trying 12/12 as an experiment.

I have the money currently and have a decent setup...all i am waiting on is an answer so i can go to walmart and pick up the type of "K" bulb i need, whether it's 2700k or 5000k or 6500k....remember...im doing 12/12 from seedling to harvest so i wanna know which bulb would work best for the whole way threw.

thank you for all your help
-After watching pineapple express it made me think hey it seems easy...why can't i grow 1. so i spent about 2 days researching how to germ, veg, flower, harvest, and cure, and finally this point...

once i get the bulbs it's time to germinate...
TY again!

2700k but im sure theyd love the combo if you can afford it.

thank you for the quick reply!
so you think 6500k cfl and a 2700k cfl will do good for just 1 plant for 12/12 cycle from seedling? and also should i keep both these on at the same time during its 12 hours of light?

okay thanks alot for the replies guys big help...now i just gotta find 1 of the multi screw in fixtures for both bulbs.

yeah depends on how many watts, if your using the 26 watters, shit id through a minimum of 8 on her personaly, but one is risking it if your going from seed. No wories if its a clone, but ya if your using the 85 and 105 watters than ya thatd be cool, one of each.

well my plan was to get 1 40 watt daylight(6500k) cfl and 1 40 watt warm white or softwhite(2700k) cfl both on 1 plant, do you think this will work at all? when i say 40 watt i mean their equivalent to like 150-200 incandescent

MOre the marrier but the rule of thumb is what .5g per watt IF your a good grower and IF you have a HPS light.

yah so that comes out to like 40 grams? 2 bulbs that are 40 watt = 80 watts times .5 grams is 40 grams. I would be more then satisfied to get this much off of a first time grow that is using 12/12 cycle from seedling

yeah, i shouldnt have raised your hopes that high. im not sure on the specs of CFL lighting, but for some reason i couldnt imagine more than an ounce with that get up.

IMO you should get at least 2 more 26 watt lights but that's just me. Also how much you get in the end all depends on how you take care of your girls. I mean the right nutes, no stress, all that and more can help determine how much you will yeild. GL
