Is it safer to smoke joints or a wax pen in your car if smell isn't probable cause?

Hello forum I was wondering what a experienced smoker thinks about smoking in public places. Should you do it your car, should you just get out and smoke or should you go basically odorless and grab a wax pen ?

If it's legal where you stay? id worry a bit less if so just er on the side of caution only smoke when U can use a pen for the rest if it's not then your taking a chance here they are pricks about it as it ain't legal so the legal limit in your bloods not much they sometimes swab test too if they think your under the influence and it is not alcohol over here in the UK so normally I just go a walk somewhere a bit less busy for a smoke if I out n about saves hassle tbh

Thanks for replying mate yes I'm in California usa. There no blood limit but high is high here. If your caught in your car it's a "driving under the influence" charge if it's on foot it's a ticket but a single infraction would make me unemployed due to my work as a door dash driver.

Stick with a pen and be careful then sounds like a safer bet

You can get charged with an open container in California as well, just like if you had an open beer bottle in your car. So keep your pen, joint, or whatever you use in a sealed container out of reach while driving. Stop and pull it out and smoke whenever you want, but store everything out of reach of the driver(you) while you are driving if you want to stay clear of violating the law.

Smoking in the car could land you a DUI from a routine traffic stop. Always better not to smoke in the car, especially if it's on and moving.

Personally, I don't have issues with mature people being high and driving. It's a completely different ball game than drinking and driving, but either way a DUI is a nasty wound to inflict on yourself.

Why risk it?
A friend of mind got busted driving high. DUI offense. It cost him big $$$ and he lost his license for a year. Not his first offense though. Lost his job due to not always being able to get there. It was sad hearing his stories about always having to bum a ride or walk. At least he didn't cause an accident and hurt or kill anyone.

Dude I’m a heavy smoker but it’s not like cigs or heavy drugs, just don’t do it while driving and ur chances are removed for most part. How many do-s shows u see the people will be smuggling or selling and they get caught from smoking in car. It’s not worth it lol

if u got long distances u can’t smoke make some gummies /edibles, exp for rx/medical the non burnt cannabinoids and how it’s injgested vs smoking it will def be better and longer

I would prefer to not drive 88 feet per second next to someone rippin on a vape pen or blazing a loud blunt and I hope you get caught before you kill someone.
Everything we do in life is a cost vrs benefit. The cost of burning up a doob in a car could be a fine, surrender the vehicle or facing vehicular homicide.
Most basic Americans can not seem to operate a cell phone and drive at the same time. Do we really want to add cannabis to the equation?
Fwiw I do not like driving next to someone eating either. If you can not give your full attention to piloting a vehicle capable of killing or maiming people perhaps you should look into a buss pass.

I worry more about the cell phone usage rather than the cat sneaking a quick toke before work.

Or I am the guy who lets the boy scout troop have airsoft battles on my property and leader of a family who has done foster care for years.
YOU
DON'T
KNOW
ME.

But that's Kool . No worries.
I do believe that once you have grand kids and nieces and nephews driving on the same roads your opinion will change

Ok, say you're in an accident and someone gets seriously injured or worse. They're going to investigate it no matter what. Serious legal repercussions come with dirty tests.

If you can't get through your workday without a buzz, get an edible and keep shit out of your car.
Really though, if that's the case, maybe driving isn't a good line of work for you.
People's lives are at stake, families, kids. It's really not something to take lightly.
I got hit by a car 20 years ago and my back still hurts right now from it. It's an everyday thing.
I get it, we've all driven stoned.
Life experience has taught me to give driving the gravity it deserves.
Do good things and live in knowing.

I'm really just glad we live in a time where it's legal to do at all.
Please don't be the guy to f*#k it up by driving around all baked, hurting someone, and lighting the republitards on fire to jesus all of us back to prohibition.
